Have you considered the Ford performance tune? It is significantly cheaper, will bring the 2.7 up to 350HP, installs in minutes and covered under warranty if installed be an ASE mechanic. Only downside is premium fuel required but you’ll still be saving without buying all those parts I’d guess.

On my 2.3 Bronco I went with the Ford Performance tune, Mishimoto intercooler and pipes, Corsa cold air intake and Corsa dual outlet exhaust. They all complement each other, and it runs great!

I have a tuner box on my Ford flex that measures my 0 to 60 times. I used it to measure the diffference in 0 to 60 times every time I made a mod, being careful to have the same amount of gas for each run, and to use the same stretch of road. My flex has the first generation ecoboost engine in it, which is a bigger displacement than the 2.7 ecoboost but still a twin turbo configuration. I was able to get it down from a 7 second 0 to 60 time to a 5.4 second 0 to 60 time. The mods that made the biggest difference, ranked in order from biggest to smallest, were (1) a tune running premium gas, (2) an axle-back exhaust system, (3) lighter wheels, and (4) an air intake system. I didn’t play around with the intercooler. the tune running premium knocked off around 3/4 of a second. The axel back exhaust knocked off around 0.5 seconds. i did the air intake first and only saw a 0.2 second difference - the same as switching to lighter wheels. As an aside - my son has the car in California while attending college. The state of MD where we live requires periodic emissions inspections. MD accepts a CA inspection, but CA doesn’t accept after-market air intake systems unless they’re on an approved list. None are approved for the flex, so we had to swap it out. The tuner box remains plugged into the obd port and permits you to download tunes on the fly, in addition to providing a myriad of real-time engine measurements. CA didn’t like that, either. (The latter had an easier remedy - simply unplug and hide it)

FWIW, that website/vendor also seems questionable.

I think that is the website I bought my bug shield from. It was on a super sale price (like REALLY cheap, almost like a scam cheap), and I got it, eventually. I had contact from them about the delays in a regular basis, which was good. But it took about 8 months to finally arrive 🤣

First and foremost, how much do you care about the factory warranty? Just about all of the bolt-ons and tunes will void your engine and/or drivetrain warranty. If you're looking to keep it intact, the Ford Performance tune, is about the only mod that will meet your expectation. If you don't care, the rabbit hole is deep and dark, and the cost of admission is steep, but we have fun down here.
