  1. 2.7 wet belt, how are they holding up?

i’m at 95k on a 2022 wildtrak with zero issues. I also have a 2013 Flex with the 3.5 twin turbo ecoboost that has 170k miles on it. The engine in my flex is a 1st generation eco boost and yes, the 1st gen 3.5 eco boost had an issue where the timing chain would stretch over time, eventually...
  2. XM Antenna Relocation - my DIY results

Big Thanks! i have a softtop with a set of 'exposed racks', where the rear rack goes directly over the satellite antenna. I'm going to go with your setup, but with the antenna on top of a 'pole' that mounts to a tailgate flagpole mount. thanks again!
  3. XM Antenna Relocation - my DIY results

This is really super. Can you provide more details on your connector cable order from vcablemart?
  4. I made it to the 100,000 mile club :)

Almost there with 94k on my ā€˜22 wildtrak. Only one issue thus far, which was quickly repaired by the dealer at 90k miles: leaking spline seal at the rear differential. And yes it is routinely taken off road. Awesome vehicle.
  5. Why does my dealer refuse to accept my bad review?

I don’t get it. They screwed up, you let them know, and they’re trying in earnest to make it right/ make up for it. Why is this somehow evil?
  6. Hard time selling bronco?

A more insightful number would be what an end consumer pays for them, not what a dealer is offering you. What are carmax, etc, getting for them?
  7. From Wrangler to Bronco

ok so i'm running a wildtrak with a 2.7L automatic transition, which isn't what you were asking about. However the odometer just flipped past 90k miles this weekend, and i can share that i've had zero issues with the engine. The only thing i've encountered was a pinion seal between the drive...
  8. Bronco reliability

'22 Wildtrak, 85k miles, heavily accessorized (but stock sas suspension and wheels), no issues. No rock-crawling, but heavy forest road usage, including many frequent "off road" miles on old defunct logging roads. Deep snow, moderately deep mud, etc. I pay attention to interior wear...
  9. How many miles are on your gen6 Bronco?

    april 22 wildtrak, 85k miles
  10. Experience with 100k plus mile (or close to it) Broncos?

I’m rather late with my response to the rust question, but there’s nothing remarkable in the rust department. I do crawl around and under my bronco from time to time - I’ve self-installed a ton of after-market accessories.
  11. Broken Dreams

85k miles and on my first windshield with no dings. After reading threads on this topic I made a hood deflector one of my first aftermarket add-ons. Dunno if those really make an difference or not, but I’ve been ding-free.
  12. Turbo Charging

I have a tuner box on my Ford flex that measures my 0 to 60 times. I used it to measure the diffference in 0 to 60 times every time I made a mod, being careful to have the same amount of gas for each run, and to use the same stretch of road. My flex has the first generation ecoboost engine in...
  13. Totaled Broncos

A Most Excellent post. Thank you.
  14. Totaled Broncos

Let’s start over with a different sort of reply.. How about ā€œyou ask an interesting question. I’m not aware of comparative statistics. Is anybody else?ā€ I applaud anybody on this site that actually inquires about comparative numbers. Almost never happens….
  15. New Bronco Owner in Maryland !

I split time between Darnestown, MD and a cabin in north-central PA :) Wrt flaps and running boards: I went with rekjen mudflaps and Go Rhino running boards. Both have held up well. Easy install.
  16. New Bronco Owner in Maryland !

Welcome to the club from a fellow Marylander. Hope you don’t mind a quick word of advice, from the owner of a ā€˜22 wildtrak. Get some mud flaps on her right away, before you get door dings from your rock-throwers. If you drive off of pavement literally at all, you’ll likely have immediate...
  17. Experience with 100k plus mile (or close to it) Broncos?

Not at 100k yet but at 85k of solid mixed use I’ve had zero issues with my ā€˜22 wildtrak. No fading paint, seats (leather trim) are not showing any noticeable wear, inside rear door plastic is a bit scuffed up but that’s mostly because I have the seats down with outdoor toys rolling around back...
  18. Rival Reviewed: 2025 4Runner First Drive Reviews Are In

Honestly I would recommend ignoring reliability concerns Derived from reading this site’s content. Comments people make about their personal reliability issues are absolutely valid, BUT there is absolutely zero statistical information from which to make general conclusions about the Bronco on...
  19. Loose noisy outer front MIC top latch trim covers

Foam works well. Fixed mine right up.
  20. DIY 2.7L Engine Oil Change - Save $$ and Learn Your Pony! šŸŽ

nice video but a quick word of caution for the diy community (of which I am one). i have another Ford where I ran into an extended warranty issue because I could not locate the oil change receipt, with indicated mileage, for my very first oil change. 2013 Ford flex with a stretched timing chain...
