The Beat-Sonic is plug and play. The large plug going into the head unit is interrupted and fed through the amp. It comes with a T plug. I did not use the blue signal wire. The self-amplified Alpine sub has the ability to turn on sensing music to the sub via the RCA cables.

It was as simple as using the supplied wiring harness.
Thank you!! very insightful

one more question about how you tapped into the rear sub and replaced with a powered sub option. I also am looking at adding a small amount of bass but all options I see on Trail seven which look exhaustive include removing the rear sub. Acutally, all of the products that fit non-b/o assume you either have a fake sub or no sub. I have a working sub for my 2026 heritage so I feel like I should be able to do something that does not involve wiring new power etc to the front. there is obviously power and signal to that back panel.

If this was directed at me.......I pulled the fuse for the factory sub/amp and just left that all in place. When I installed the powered sub I just ran RCA, power and ground wires like you would installing a stand-alone amp. The Beat-Sonic has RCA outputs for a sub built in.

Are there other brands of plug and play amps? Possibly one with a 5 channel? 4 channels would be nice, but then I still need to have the sub done.

Looking forward to picking up my Bronco from the dealer tomorrow! I have been waiting for an unrelated home improvement loan to close. Supposed to close today. Of course, my salesman is off today, so supposed to finish the paperwork tomorrow afternoon. I was originally told it should close on 7/3, so have been impatiently waiting.

Something I learned the hard way, I lost 6 of 7 my Focal ACX speakers to dust/dirt. There's only so many times you can attempt to blow out the coils. Likely an issue with any coax with open coils and you allow lots of dust into the Bronco. I moved to separates (AudioFrog GBs and GSs)where I could, for everything I lined the grills and speaker cavities with speaker mesh/cloth in an attempt to keep dust out. Now, could I keep the doors on and top closed? nope

What did you think of the Focal sound wise?

I will likely have the top off, but mostly during daily driving. It will go offroad, but likely put the top on for that.

All amps are plug and play - just varying levels of “plug”

The 6 channel DSP amps function as 5-channel once you bridge one set for the sub. Or 8-channel if you want to split the kicks and dash to their own independent channels

I started my system out with a 5-channel Kenwood, and its a great amp, but it lacked any DSP functionality. Due to that I was never able to get it to a spot I thought sounded right. Either I left the factory EQ on and the speakers got cut off by the factory tune, or I turned the factory EQ off and lost the time alignments and it sounded echoey

They did fine after DSP tuning, otherwise they were too bright. At the time I had the ZenA2B and a JBL DSP4086, plus a kicker amp for the sub. Since then, I've replaced everything except the A2B. I'm like 2 years behind on my build thread, should probably make an update.

Very nice!

Due to some hearing loss, there's no such thing as 'too bright' for me. My ears have a built in crossover haha. So uncertain if I really need a DSP amp, but will compare the prices.

What rear bumper is that?

Just got back from the dealer and picked it up for the first time. The music does sound pretty muddy with the stock 7 speaker system.

With the way the dash speakers reflect right off the glass, you may be surprised

Congrats!!

For me it was a domino, started with new speakers, then different speakers/amps, then end-game new speakers/amps. My wife's stock B&O system reminds me where I started.

It's the LOD Destroyer with tire swing and all the add-ons. It's awesome!
