Spare tire TPMS

I did some searching online and could not find an answer to whether or not the spare had a TPMS installed from factory. The short answer is yes, at least on a 2023. Dealer tried to up-sale a TPMS for the spare during a tire rotation. It is not needed...

All Broncos spare tires include a TPMS installed at the factory. Three model years in and you think your dealer would know this. They are either an idiot or a crook. Or quite possibly, a crooked idiot.

Your dealership will probably try to get you to pay for one in your spare. It’s definitely in there, but it takes about 5 minutes of driving for the sensor to activate and connect to the system. My dealer tried this with me, and I proved them right. Mine’s a 2021, so hopefully the dealers know a little more about Broncos by now.

Rangers do not have TPMS in the spare. I learned that trying to do a 5 wheel rotation for the first time. Pretty annoying.
