...which is not in use until and unless needed. And let me add. You don’t have a spare tire, you have an extra full size tire.
Hence, it's a spare.

Yes it does. The service advisor probably told you "durrrr the pressure don't show on the screen because there is no tpms". Drive it a few miles and it wakes up the tpms.
Idk what it is with dealerships and the gd tpms sensors in the spare.
You have a tpms in the spare.
Im triggered because my dealership and I got into a heated debate about this 2 weeks ago lol.
I’m at the dealership as I write this. Just got into an argument with the service advisor over this same topic. First he tried to say it didn’t have a sensor then it was “Ford doesn’t recommend 5 tire rotation.” I asked him how long he has worked in service because one it does have a sensor and two the owners manual specifically states 5 tire rotation is the recommendation. I told him I would be happy to pull it up and show him. Then he tried to say I have to pay extra for 5 tire rotation. Umm no. This is the recommended service per Ford I will not be paying extra.Just dropped my 2023 Badlands off for service (dealership), having them change oil and rotate tires also. Asked for 5 tire rotation and told no because the spare does not contain TPMS.
Is this true and, if so, what's involved with taking the sensor from one of the tires and installing on the spare?
TY.
Edit: Thanks to everyone for the replies. I informed the dealership, got the 5 tire rotation done, spare tire sensor works fine. On a related note: my passenger side roof panel was hard to remove and I was told this is not adjustable. It is. Had to inform the dealer how to do it.
Santan Ford in Gilbert, AZ charges a $20 premium if I remember right to do the 5 tire rotation. I didn't make a big deal out of it since I'll probably only rotate 3 or 4 times I imagine maximum before I swap the tires out anyway. Their service rate was pretty cheap otherwise (less than $100 for an oil change, rotation and inspection) which also made me less likely to be annoyed.I’m at the dealership as I write this. I have similar problems with the dealership where I brought my Bronco, but I have known they are a problem for years. It's my practice walk up to the service desk while quoting the owners manual to them. When the Bronco's warranty expires, I will bring it to my regular mechanic.Just dropped my 2023 Badlands off for service (dealership), having them change oil and rotate tires also.
