**update**

Called Ford and asked if they'd cover any recall costs and the answer I got was, "Well, we don't really control what the dealers do so can't help you... maybe try a different dealer?"

SOOO... looking at doing a Wolfbox or something for the rear camera.

No reason for them to charge you. Ford will approve (in most cases) additional labor for aftermarket parts that affect a repair. They just need to contact them and get approval.

They won’t do that

Yeah you're dealer needs to do this, calling Ford isn't going to help.
If your dealership contacts SSSC, they will decide whether to authorize additional time or not.

Yeah, I have the AGS Air Gate kit with the tailgate reinforcement. Wondering if it will be a problem. I just like to assume so...........

I now have two vehicles with camera recalls, its going to stay that way unless they actually break.
This. No issues with my camera.

the dealers here want you to pay. $160 an hour you pay. Ford doesnt pay that. Plus the local tech gets to pick the time. Just how it works… here.

My software for the camera updated about a month ago, and haven't had an issue less the front facing camera on the 360 view blacks out every now and then. Took it in 2 weeks ago for my oil change and tire rotation, and they told me that the parts were available for the camera replacement, scheduled the appointment and I dropped it off this morning. Not costing me a dime. I just hope there are no issues with this replacement.

So far, no recall on my WildTrak, but I have had an outstanding recall on my Roush Mustang for the past couple of years. Camera has been working fine.

Called the dealer from whom I purchased it. They said in order to close the recall they need to verify that the camera is working. If it is, there is nothing that needs to be done.

So, then I asked if I could make an appointment and wait for it while they look at it and verify it's working. They said no, I have to drop it off and they need to keep it for the day.

I'm not crazy about leaving a 730hp car at the dealer all day if I don't have to so some 17-year-old porter can take it for a joy ride. I have read too many horror stories.

So, Ford keeps sending me recall notices. I'll deal with it If/When it fails

Not as bad but it’s never been 100%

Received a call from my dealer a few days ago to schedule their mobile service to repair the rear-view camera for the recall. The tech just left. He needed to remove the rear tire, and the rear tire housing that attaches to the rear door. Also, the panel that is on the inside of the door. This panel gives him access to the camera wiring connector. I had two radio antennas, a set of lights and a Wolfbox rear camera installed on the rear tire/rear tire housing. The tech very professionally removed all the aftermarket stuff along with tire and housing. Replaced the Ford camera, reinstalled everything and even checked to ensure that the Wolfbox and light-set were working. Tech told me that I was the second of five replacements he had scheduled for today. He mentioned that they are allotted one hour for the replacement. He was finished with mine in less than one hour. Maybe this will be helpful. It was not a complicated install.

Look in your manual about creating a MYKEY. It will allow you to create a key with speed restrictions. You will have to turn off your Bronco and restart it with the MYKEY you created before turning the Bronco over to the dealer.

The recall is on the Mustang (2016), not the Bronco, but I suppose that is an option.

It's also handy before turning your Mustang over to a valet. It will allow you to check on miles driven too.

Going in for my oil change on Friday. Tried to do both recalls, but they'll need to keep for 3 days. I get that, but I can't go without the Bronco for that long right now.

Eventually want the FOX shocks anyway from HOSS 3.0, so I've got to think about a few things.

My reverse camera works, but has gone out maybe twice for a sec in the almost 3 years, so I'm in no hurry. I'll let them do the recall work soonerornuther.

What does suck is when I'm wheeling in 4L and the front camera comes on, but sometimes will go black. I'm fine to do it the old fashioned way, but that isn't fun when it goes. Usually fixes itself after maybe 30 mins and restarting the truck doesn't seem to do it. However, that front is not on this recall list, but again, it's only used when off-roading, so I'm sure it isn't a priority.

Happy to share that my hood latch sensor setting off my alarm for no reason seems to have stopped, so the over the air updates actually do work it seems. Ha ha! :)

I avoid using a valet at all costs, unless there is no other option.

If I have to, I'll take the Bronco. MyKey or not, my CTS-V (630hp) is a 2012 and doesn't have a similar feature, I am not handing over the keys to those cars to a stranger.

I don't like valets just out of principle. Too often they're just one more money suck. Here the service is always "complimentary" but there's the guilt trip of stiffing a valet if you don't tip them for something you didn't want.
