Mine's in an aftermarket bumper (Expedition One) and they said they can do the recall, but since Ford only gives them a certain amount of labor hours for this, anything over they would charge me shop rates.

No reason for them to charge you. Ford will approve (in most cases) additional labor for aftermarket parts that affect a repair. They just need to contact them and get approval.

Has anyone tried calling Ford to see if they'll just send you the parts?

I'll try that - i.e. contact Ford on Monday and see if they'll cover all costs for the recall.

What model has a camera recall? I can't find any reference to it (I bought mine used, and although I registered with Ford, I have not received a recall letter).

I now have two vehicles with camera recalls, its going to stay that way unless they actually break.

I was having an issue with my camera going black. I took it apart and ended up finding that the wire was loose made a giant ball of duct, tape and jammed it down spare tire area and I’ve had no issues since.

I had my camera replaced today. Mobile service tech from Aaron Ford was on time and he completed the job quickly. Happy with the service. My original camera always worked fine for me, but decided to get the recall done just in case

We have the Turn off Road tailgate support and their tire carrier. The factory camera is inside the tube/hub that goes through the wheel.

Have any of you had your camera recall with the Turn Tire Carrier?
