Unfortunately in August I got rear ended and the way they hit was perfectly on my rear tire. Long story short I need an entire new rear axle. The axle was ordered from Ford back in August and since then there has been no update, no ETA, no information regarding why the delay of so long, and no idea when they will even start to make the axle. As of yesterday there is still no update. Does anyone have any information regarding why the delay and what is going on?

Frustrating as heck I bet.
This makes no sense to me, Ford is producing Broncos so they should have stacks of axles piled up or a production line pumping them out. No reason one can’t be allocated to a customer for replacement.
Who ordered it for you a Ford dealer or a non Ford repair shop?
Could you call Ford service to find out what’s going on?

@Ducati1098 may be able to fact-check availability.

I have a buddy with one for sale up here in Washington. Bought for a crash repair and vehicle was totaled out. Brand new in crate. Not sure if he has space but might be able to get it to CA on his way to KOH. Will send you a DM with info.

Has the Bronco at least been drivable during the wait? I would erupt if having to wait 5 months for a part if the vehicle was out of commission.

Doesn’t ford performance sell rear axle assemblies with a 4.7 gear ratio? I thought lethal performance also did? They don’t have any stock available?

You would think that would work, but it doesn’t work like that. Ford won’t use those for warranty.

I have a 4.46 non-ELD full rear end with axles, sitting in my garage in Central CA if anyone needs - 15k miles on it but in good condition and not offroaded if it could get someone back on the road.

Not a SAS rear end though, so not sure it helps the OP unless they just want something temporary to run around in 2H with.

Maybe try calling APG Performance as they have to replace the rear axels on the factory Broncos with that of a larger type for their PRORunner long travel Bronco builds. People with a lot of cash to burn send them brand new Bronco's to pimp out with long travel suspension. I'm sure they would have some axels laying around for sure. Good luck!
