...if ya are really serious about a 4x4 bronco the Sasquatch package is a waste of money because you will be replacing all of it with better/stronger options…off road capability is the same for all Sasquatch trims
Just noting Hoss 3.0/Fox suspension and heavy-duty rack is *optionally* available as well, (just on Badlands?) giving you one of those “stronger options” direct from the dealer, with full warranty.

I'd say start with as high as you can afford - then go down from there. So, if you don't NEED the swaybar disconnect, you might be able to go down from the Badlands. Then trade-off what you would like and can live without. Trying to get a 'Base' up to something close to a Badlands is a very expensive proposition. You can add almost anything, but its way cheaper and easier to start off with what you need.

I agree, there's this to consider...

If you are looking at a 4 door and buying new, didn't sleep on the Heritage Edition.
It is essentially a big bend Sasquatch with mid package... And you get the painted roof.
With the mic top issues, I wouldn't buy one with that.
It is the bargain off the Bronco range.

BaseSquatch, 2 door, 7 speed if you can build that spec nowadays
Yeah, you can .... you'll end up a few bucks away from a standard Badlands, which is 95% Squatch anyways, plus a few more bells and whistles than the Base.
I don't recall exactly, but 2024 or 25 Badlands came with Mid package PLUS the heated steering wheel.
That's what I'd aim for, base or Mid pkg. Badlands with the heated seats and steering wheel.
I've found a few NEW ones that are discounted $10k from MSRP ...

Depends .. what kind of off roading planning on doing.

I find for most conditions, except deep sand, skinny / stock wheels with maybe 275 /65 lugged street tire plus a take off Hoss2 or 3, with onboard air will get you anywhere easier than adding 600lb in bigger wheels and accessories.

I would just search for cheapest NOS with at least rear locker in 2.3 or 2.7, both of which are exceptional with FP tune.

Out dirt biking I always see the most accessoried and biggest trucks stuck or abandoned, while the Suzukis are never in trouble. My old Subaru Brat could go anywhere reasonable in up the site of 60' gravel mounds and most quad tracks plus was light enough easy to push out or even unload suspension.

I was offered a pristine loaded 2017 met blue Nissan Xterra Pro4X with 110K miles on it still had the roof driving light covers, two sets wheels, for USD 14K. One owner all records, all major services done, all hwy miles......perfect offroader

I loved the 4dr softy I had for awhile. It was fine in the winter and VERY very convenient in the warmer months. I opened it up far more often than the 2dr MIC I have. (Dirt Mountain 1.0 top, no issues thus far, short of some minor cosmetics)

I have a strong preference for going safari style with the soft top, and it worked great for that. Keeps the sun off my big ol' bald forehead.

Both tops are noisy, the hard top has squeaks and rattles at low speeds, the softy is louder at hi-way speeds, but not by much.
