Well.....it is true though - if you do powder coat, heat can adversely affect malleability and molecular structure. Good to know though that Eibach got to this and is offering the OP a solution, regardless of the alteration. I think that's pretty darn good Customer Service  ........and thank God cause I really did like my Eibach springs! :)

Hi @jessquatch,
I am the sales manager at Eibach. I think the part you are failing to mention is that we were trying to work with you but you were to impatient to provide us with all of the pertinent info we needed to make a claim. But since you want to go public with this lets talk it through.

1st, The pictures you sent are from a garage floor which are typically slopped 1% - 2% for drainage, so a level on a rock slider isn't a reliable form of measurement.

2nd, The measurements you sent us do not match the measurements you posted up on the "Fox + Eibach - Springs powder coated Fox orange" AND you never sent pictures of these measurements like we asked, just pictures of the actual vehicle which honestly to me look great (see below)

And lastly, you failed to mention these springs were stripped and re powder coated which voids our warranty anyway and could be the cause of your issues. If they stripped them with chemicals or fire you can affect the molecule structure of the metal and cause deformation and or weaking, which could result in loss of height. Regardless it's in our warranty that altering our products in anyway voids our warranty.

We stand behind our products 100% and always have, are we perfect, no, but you have to give us a chance to help you before you just throw your hands up and and say we aren't doing anything for you. You also have to remember we deal with 1000's of customers and we might not be able to get back to you within minutes every time you e mail us, but I can guarantee if you call us we will pick up the phone every time and at least let you know where your case stands.

For the record we have HD springs coming very soon for anyone looking for a higher rear end lift or for people carrying a little more load or towing. @jessquatch if you are still interested we will send you a set, just let us know.

I just received my new Eibach 2.0 coilovers. Got them for $1,538 on the Black Friday deal. One of the main reasons I purchased from y'all is due to all of the positive reviews from around the web and here on B6G. This thread is the first negative I have heard. Powdercoating is baked on in an oven.... And just from this picture, I do not see any rear sag, actually looks pretty damn level.

After reading all this I am on Eibachs side. Glad they came on to show the truth.

Kind of surprised they said they would help after you powder coated it. Most companies would say good luck to you.

that being said, they looked good powder coated
Pretty killer PR move..
ole bro comes on here with half truths and omissions whining about a company's bad customer service and said company takes the opportunity to come back and not only make the OP look like a tool but wins the hearts of the masses at the same time lol

It was a twist I didn't see coming but enjoyed the read nonetheless

Thanks for the education. Well, this leads me to wonder if this is the reason why new springs & coilovers need settling time. The internal friction heat when the spring is working will change its microstructure.

I recently bought Eibach 2.0 from Panda - great deal, great service. They are in the box awaiting installation. From the original post, I thought - WTF did I get into?!! Post Eibach response, I think I'm OK. As for the OP: "Bueller? Bueller?......crickets.........

Thanks for the reply it’s always good to hear both sides. Unfortunately we don’t hear both sides on these forms.
I’ve toured your shop and seen how your springs and shocks are made along with all the R&D.
Can’t wait till your HD spring are available.

Damn, I love it when the company/brand getting slandered comes out swinging with receipts! Customer service isn't dead. A growing number of consumers are just choosing to take the path of least resistance by unfairly criticizing businesses.

By the way, this is what I sent them. You can clearly see the sag.

Am I the only one who noticed that the Spirit Level is on its side? That is not how you use a level :)

Guys, it's really about their attitude regarding customer's downtime. I repair cars for a living. I warranty all my work. I always put the "downtime" as priority.

This company expects me to put the car down for God knows how long. I'm just not willing to do that. They did not offer any other solution. And the evidence is clear. I sent them all they needed.
Any updates? Sounds like they really screwed you over and have terrible customer service. Oh, wait... they responded. Umm, interesting. What say you?
