Power-Up 6.1.0

Yesterday my truck had it OTA to 6.1.0. There is no description as to what this update changes or adds. Ford's description is pathetic (see below). Anyone know what the changes are? Additionally, I had to remove/add my phone to CarPlay - the update messed it up.

Ha! Noticed all my connectivity settings were suddenly reset or "off". Checked FordPass and sure enough, I got the update. At least it turned off the most intrusive connectivity reporting like analytics, driving, etc...

Nope. There hasn’t been much since Oct.

I'm about that as well - Last update was September 2023.

I'll just assume that our vehicles are just so advanced, they don't require as many updates

Could be a coincidence, but mine was stuck on 4.2.3 for a while. I tried putting the battery on a charger, manually updating, and a few other suggested tricks to no avail.

Yesterday I just adjusted my auto-update settings: it was 7-days a week 1 am, just toggled it to weekday only to see if it would break something loose.

Lo and behold I get 6.1 this morning. Only noticed because it reset my dash brightness.

I had to reset my dash brightness also after receiving 6.1.0 update on Sunday . Of course it has not fixed me having to turn on my ambient lighting because it was turned off again this morning

There might be two software trains depending on different things like ecu hardware. I noticed the version numbering differences a long time ago.

I really wish Fords software team was more transparent on what was being updated.

I received 6.1.0 a few days ago and then 24-PUD0102-SVD-FX the next day. No details on 6.1.0 but the FordPass description for 24-PUD0102-SVD-FX stated “Priority Update - Connectivity”.
