Took a year of ownership to get that update. I wonder if updates are trim level/options specific? My BD is the very basic BD with no options. Somebody here has probably answered that question already.

My BD is also the “low” package.
I’m not sure there’s that much rhyme or reason to it, from what I gather, but who knows?
However, it does seem like most others are on 4.2…

I got 4.2.2.1 at the beginning of this thread.... Followed by 4.2.2.2 just a couple of weeks later. Its crazy to me that so many are still in V-3.... I'm more and more convinced that Ford (actually all manufacturers) need to add an "Update Now" button that actually works like most hardware and
software companies are moving to.

This is my current software, my last OTA was 1.9.0, but I think this is 3.5.3 updated on December 1, 2022

At some point I’ll fdrs upgrade mine, again

are either of these last two available? I also suppose at some point I need to buy the annual license

I’m way back in version 3 somewhere last updated in October of 2022 but I have never paired a phone so I’m wondering if most of the updates are for tech connectivity and related applications.

Yeah I screwed up my android box I had connected to it. Reads as carplay but is a android box. Lost full screen on it but android phone is full screen

My CarPlay definitely loads faster. It used to take 30+ seconds to load on the screen. Now is 5 seconds or so like every other car.

Unless this makes apple carplay start up within 10 seconds of starting the vehicle like in my brand new Chevy work truck, no one gives a shit. I can damn near drive a mile down the road leaving my neighborhood before it figures out my phone is in the bronco and connect to CarPlay.

Mine’s actually at the dealer for unrelated reasons. But while it’s there they plan to update it themselves. We’ll see what version it ends up at!
