This only happens at speeds over 50 but I get this weird noise like wires banging around just behind the speedometer. Might not be the actual source, but it’s annoying. Sounds like a squirrel is back there messing around.
(I checked, there’s no wildlife of any kind there). Anyone else experiencing this?

Nothing here. Does it matter what gear you are in? Just wondering if it is associated with the 7mt 5th and 6th gear syncro grinding issues.

Good morning! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

It’s not that noise. That was fixed and thankfully working just fine. This is more like a wire banging around. @Derecho mentioned the speedometer cable but only in cold weather. Could be but I noticed this a few weeks ago, wasn’t cold.

Strange. I haven't had any issues. So we actually have a speedo cable? I assumed everything was electronic.

Off topic...I see you are in Maine, who did your tranny fix? Mine is getting worse now that cold weather is here.

I am in Rockland Maine. KEY Ford of Rockland fixed it. Took a bit, not because they couldn’t do it right or that they didn’t get the parts for the fix. They did. What took a bit of time was getting g the parts that were not specified in the fix that they needed. That popped up a few times and extended a week to 4. Still though it’s working fine.

I would add, that since I was their guinea pig for this repair that if you went there, they could do it fairly quickly.

Any chance that maybe it is some sort of hood flutter in the left rear corner?

I thought that as well at first, but it’s right behind the speedometer. The hoods’ not moving at the hinge.

I noticed a very slight noise too in that area. I was going to check the speakers I changed out up there
