If you’ve ever been off-road with other Broncos, you know first hand how difficult it can be to see a vehicle in front of you through the dust. That’s why most off-road Bronco groups require a rear facing amber chase/dust light. After exploring all the existing options for chase/dust and reverse lights we knew there had to be a cost-effective way to get both functions with a clean factory look. After many, many months of designing, prototyping and testing, the ultimate Adjustable/Multifunction Bronco Third Brake Light is finally here!

LEDs

When deciding which LED to use, we knew we needed something extremely bright, compact, and durable. That’s why we chose the made in America Fenix Emergency Quad Cannon LED. Typically found on fire trucks, ambulances, and law enforcement vehicles across the country, the Quad Cannon has been engineered to provide thousands of hours of extremely bright emergency lighting that can be seen from miles away. One unique feature is its ability to be programmed to shine red, amber, white and even blue. Multiple strobe patterns are also configurable upon installation without the need for any expensive module to be wired in!

FUNCTIONALITY

Day Time Running Red
Just like OEM, the Hammer Built Third Brake Light's default setting is day time running red when vehicle lights are on. Applying the brakes will send full power signal to the red LEDs, instantly alerting everyone that you’re coming to a stop
Amber -- When you need to be seen, simply flick the desired auxiliary switch to activate the amber chase/dust lights. The two outer Fenix Quad Cannons emit a very bright amber light that can be seen for miles while the center LED remains a functional brake light to ensure your trail companions anticipate obstacles on the trail. The default programming is an amber strobe, but you may select an amber solid on pattern instead.
White Reverse -- When you switch to reverse all three LEDs light up in a very bright white light, illuminating everything behind you.

ADJUSTABILITY

Because every Bronco we work on has different size tires, we made our third brake light to be fully adjustable from stock to 40s. As your build progresses and you eventually upgrade to larger tires, your third brake light can easily be adjusted to your desired height.

Comes assembled with lights programmed with plug and play harness attached and ready to be installed. See install video



FITMENT

Will fit all trims of the 21-25 Bronco; fitment for the Bronco Raptor requires a 1.5” wheel spacer. Confirmed fitment on Turn Off-Road tire carrier.

I love the functionality and the look. Install looks like a pain for me though. I’m not looking forward to removing the AAL tailgate cover where the compressor mounts inside the tailgate void. That was a pain to maneuver into place. Probably worth it for the complete reverse/brake/chase functionality though.

I wouldn’t run the aux wire along the frame like in the BDO video. Better to run it along the interior channel along the rockers. Yeah a lot more interior trim to remove. But it’s not that bad. An opportunity to clean out all the dust that collects there!

Do you think this would work with one of the spare tire platforms, like the American Adventure Lab MASS spare tire platform? Looks like it might because it is offset from the tire.
