Mounting those "Dune Flags"?

So we just returned from a week down in Sand Hollow, UT. It is a state park and in order to run around their open riding areas you need a safety flag mounted at least 10' above the ground when in motion. I noticed that some folks tend to mount their flags on the back of their vehicle, some on the front bumper. Any reason to prefer one mounting location over the other? I've never used one before and am trying to figure out where to mount my flag.

Love the handy flag! Seem like good folks too when I communicated with them. I like this idea, but if we get kayaks, I think we'd be using the trail sites as a tie point, which may rule out the flag mounting idea.

Others have already shown mounting the handy flag to the front guide. I put a second handy flag mount under the accessory mount on my hammer built tailgate bracket it's a great alternate location or if you want to fly something like an American flag on the 4th of July. In the photo, there are front and back Handy Flags, plus a hitch mounted Flag.

Have to have these at Silver Lake Sand Dunes also. I think front mounting is the most popular up here - my husband made me a bracket for mine.

I think for cars/trucks/suvs at silver lake it has to be on the front.

Michigan requires it to be on the front of the vehicle. Different states have different rules for the placement.

I went with the stainless trail sight mount from Bronco Graveyard and the four piece flag with quick disconnect from Handy Flag. I didn’t want to have to worry about protecting the body from the mast whipping around. The aluminum flag pole breaks down to 23” inches in length.

I went this direction also. It looks nice super clean look and works great.

Front mount in Michigan. It’s the law. Check your state ORV laws to see what the requirement is. You will see the flag up front before you see the vehicle.
