Mounting those "Dune Flags"?

So we just returned from a week down in Sand Hollow, UT. It is a state park and in order to run around their open riding areas you need a safety flag mounted at least 10' above the ground when in motion. I noticed that some folks tend to mount their flags on the back of their vehicle, some on the front bumper. Any reason to prefer one mounting location over the other? I've never used one before and am trying to figure out where to mount my flag.

Have to have these at Silver Lake Sand Dunes also. I think front mounting is the most popular up here - my husband made me a bracket for mine.

Love your graphics! I guess I can't see any reason to mount front over rear or vice versa. I guess pick one you like and just go with it!

I went with the stainless trail sight mount from Bronco Graveyard and the four piece flag with quick disconnect from Handy Flag. I didn’t want to have to worry about protecting the body from the mast whipping around. The aluminum flag pole breaks down to 23” inches in length.

It is dependent on the ORV park's rules. It isn't up to the owner. Some require the flag in front and other's don't specify.

Front mount will make you visible sooner from the other side as you crest the top of a dune.

Love the handy flag! Seem like good folks too when I communicated with them. I like this idea, but if we get kayaks, I think we'd be using the trail sites as a tie point, which may rule out the flag mounting idea.

I don't own this yet, but it will be my next whip mount. Heavy duty and quick release/no tools.

Homemade. Painted a piece of aluminum angle and two longer bolts from Ace Hardware topped with Tusk thingy from Amazon. Actually made a second one that mounts on tailgate hinge, although I took it off because it interferes with my rotopax.
