On the fill, are you going to do the 2.5 quarts or fill up to the bottom of the fill port? I've seen both, same with the Mustang MT82. Full is actually about 1/2" below the port.
I believe the service manual says 4mm from top

I’m not looking in mine for the 4mm line. I’ll stop pumping it in when it starts coming out.

I'm waiting on parts for the TSB, but I plan on a drain and fill with Amsoil when it's fixed.

I know the service manual states the fluid is “for life” - but, what’s a normal change interval that is loony birds would normally stick to? 25k? 50k? 100k?

In a lot of things I've seen "lifetime" means 100k. Of normal use. I wouldn't surpass the mileage for the differential fluid changes which is 150k.

I think more time frame than mileage for a MT. I like to change mine every 4-5 years in a "normal use" vehicle. That's usually 50-60K miles for me.

"Lifetime" in Ford speak is referring to Warranty. Ford couldn't care less when you reach 60,001 miles.

I gotta say…that’s some smoooooth shifting. Feels great. It’s such an interesting difference. It feels like I’m rowing plastic gears now…if you know what I mean.

What temp is it up there? I'm worried about thicker oil in winter. I might go with your solution instead of amsoil with so many having good results.

It’s been chilly the past few days. Low 30s in the mornings.

I want to go one heavier too, but I’m afraid to do that while I still have warranty. Figure I better stick to specs if I have a warranty claim. Usually wouldn’t have crossed my mind, but I think it’s wise to preserve warranty claims for this MT.

Ordered the Redline fluid. Will put it in next week. Then do a roundtrip to Idaho, roundtrip to Florida, and a roundtrip to Montana over the next 6 weeks. Should have an idea after that how it’s doing compared to stock fluid.

Can't say I've ever seen MT fluid that thin at room temp, but the Redline seemed as thin going back in. Added around 2.8 quarts before it started coming out.
