Just put a set of Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtremes on. (RF12 have less tread on sidewall, Xtremes have more) 265/75/16 Little bit of Wub-wub-wub around 35-40mph but think it'll come out with a re-balance. Otherwise very quiet, handles great on the street, great traction on dry loose
stone/gravel, wet and dry turf and dirt. Have not had them in mud or on wet rock yet.

$193+tax ea. from my local guy mounted and balanced. Free rotations.
RF12s would have been $185.

I've been running Hankooks on my sedan now for a while and they've turned out to be an excellent tire so far. They seem to be moving more production to the US too though the set I just got for the Bronco are made in Asia.

Stay with quality brands. Check out other forums for vehicles that come from the factory with the size you want. They will likely have classifieds with people selling their take offs. Jeep, 4Runner, Tacoma, would be good places to start.

Cooper definitely makes some great tires for the price, but I'd definitely stay away from the ATPs. I have them on my 4Runner and they have the worst longitudinal grip of any tire I've ever run, both on- and off-road. They're also terrible in the rain and even worse in the snow.

Hey, I'm looking to add a small lift and bigger tires to my Big Bend, but I'd like to keep the stock wheels (I like them and don't care to spend money on aftermarket wheels). I think I'd be happy with 33" tires and a ~2" lift kit. The tires I keep seeing recommended at the BFG KO2's, but $350 a tire is more than I'd like to spend. The size I'm looking at right now is LT285/75R17, but I'm new to tire sizing and IDK if I'm making a mistake with this size or if I'm on the right path. Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a lower budget (not necessarily bottom barrel, but just good value) A/T tire that looks decent and rides comfortably on the road without too much road noise? Might be asking a lot here, and if the KO2's are really the best option I guess I'll probably pull the trigger, I just wanted to do my research first and was hoping to get some help.
The K02s are really the best option, but if your looking for a lower budget tire, Ims sure there are some that are still decent.

Wait till the factory tires wear out. No point in wasting money!

I decided my next tire is going to be this, 32.8" dia, weighs 41 lbs.
I always look at tire and wheel weight, and want to stay as close to factory weight as possible.

If I waited, I’d never do it lol. Don’t drive enough to wear them down that fast. I’ve had it a year and I’m ready for an upgrade. I’m hawking the forums for takeoffs

If you use Facebook, the FB Marketplace is a great place to score takeoffs. Badlands takeoffs are fairly common and they are the 285/70/17 size you are looking for.

Lovin' these General Grabbers! I'll likely replace them with the same. Great look, great tread, they hold air...

AND our own @618TRVLWILD builds 'em!

This. I have an impulse to go with larger tires, but I see BD takeoffs regularly at a fraction of the cost of new. I may stay with the Grabbers when it is time to get new shoes. I love the steelies.

I love me some cheap tires, really people get a little sore on the subject but not all cheap tires are bad. I am running some Kelly MT right now that are USA made by Goodyear and cheap. Just make sure your getting what you want like tread pattern and enough sidewall plies for your planed use. I have had great luck with Discount Tires house brand Pathfinders. Not all cheap tires are the same so you do have to be smart about what your buying.

I wouldn't by KO2s even if they were the cheapest tire. I have never been impressed with them and I work in the mining industry which destroys tires. KO2 are a road tire, not the best road tire either. Falken, Cooper or Mickey Thomson if your going to spend money.

I got some cheap chinese tires on my ram, tire shop guy said "$500 mounted, balanced and free alignment". Can't tell you how much better these tires are over my last set of $1200 Nitto triple mountain garbage. Right on par with my last set of Discount Tire Pathfinders, which were out of stock when I was shopping.
