Lower budget tires?

Yeah I usually don't either, but I've also never been looking at $1750 for a set either and that's a tough pill to swallow.

The way the economy is going you may just want to wait a bit if you can.

One thing to know.... if pricing at Tire Rack the prices fluctuates in reference to their inventory. Watch it from week to week and you can see it cycle.

Btw, I did K02s an very happy with them. Great in snow, wet, dry, rocks, nice ride and low noise.

Goodluck... Safety 1st, be careful.... The rear end you save could be your Bronco or mine.

Just put a set of Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtremes on. (RF12 have less tread on sidewall, Xtremes have more) 265/75/16 Little bit of Wub-wub-wub around 35-40mph but think it'll come out with a re-balance. Otherwise very quiet, handles great on the street, great traction on dry loose
stone/gravel, wet and dry turf and dirt. Have not had them in mud or on wet rock yet.

$193+tax ea. from my local guy mounted and balanced. Free rotations.
RF12s would have been $185.

I've been running Hankooks on my sedan now for a while and they've turned out to be an excellent tire so far. They seem to be moving more production to the US too though the set I just got for the Bronco are made in Asia.

Those look like what came on my last F150 and I hated them. They wore fast and were terrible on wet roads and in snow.

haha don't get me wrong I am in the same boat. I keep looking at new tires for mine and thinking to myself damn that's a lot of $. So I will probably just wait till the factory bridgestones wear out.

Same boat here. Was about to pull the trigger on a set of 285/70/17 KO2's. Ended up rotating my current Dueler's and rolling with them for a little longer. At least they get good MPG! Maybe come Spring...

Kenda is not exactly a no-name tire. I've run them on my various dual sport motorcycles and always had good results from them, they make some good dual sport tread with street ,anners,

Driving myself crazy looking at three tires for my BB. Falken Rubitek 265/70 17 SL 4 ply 2600 # load 44 lbs, $175, Could get same tire in LT, 10 Ply 3200 # load 56 lbs $210 or Falken Wildpeak 275/70 17 XL 6ply 2600 # load 57 lbs $275.

Wilpeak 275 pushes all the buttons but cost 65 to 100$ more each, size may be ideal. Puncture resistance is important, but so is weight all are heavier than stock so probably better puncture resistance than stock , but I'm sure the 10 plys are best, but 6 may be OK.
$175 SLs keep calling but those $275 275s are nice.
...then I can get Kuhmo 275s for $210 ...

So conflicted, suggestions appreciated.

My go to truck tires for years have been Coopers, that's what I put on the last three Expeditions.

However, I don't know if their quality went down after Goodyear bought them last year. I also don't know if Goodyear started off-shoring them.

Before the buyout, all Coopers were made in USA. I don't know if that is still true.

I go the other way. Life is too short to drive on the wrong tires. 12.5K miles and on my third set of tires.
Tires make the vehicle. They are the only thing that actually provides grip to the road or trail. The wrong tires and it doesn't matter what improvements you've made. Price should not be your primary requirement in a set of tires. Get the tires you need to do what you want to do. If there are multiple tires that fit your needs, then go by price.

The 255/80s were great, but they were always a holdover until I could get the tires i wanted off backorder (35X11.50s). Absolutely no complaints about the 255s, and they are what i usually use on my Tacoma, they just weren't what I wanted long term for the Bronco. Put them on marketplace and sold them within two hours to someone else with a Tacoma.

I ran Kenda Klever AT2s on my Gladiator. Quiet on road and great in the snow and sand. The RTs are really popular with the Gladiator crowd. But I ran the AT2s for the lighter weight.

I’ve heard those are pretty good! Might have to look into them more.

Those look like what came on my last F150 and I hated them. They wore fast and were terrible on wet roads and in snow.

All the reviews I read said they were good all around and wore well.
Two of the guys at my local shop run them and love them.
When you say “Those look like...” was it the same tire? Or just some OEM special?

Time will tell I guess but they’ve been great so far.
