It boggles the mind how lame the Bronco color palette is compared to the Wrangler currently.

While I'm dreaming, beyond a color that interests me at all, I want to be able to order a Bronco 2-door with:

1. The squared fenders.
2. Cloth seats. With an option that's not black.
3. Color matched top. Or the factory ragtop that apparently will never happen.
4. A couple of choices for wheels that aren't all black.
5. Whatever other options I choose. I'll pay extra to pick what I want.

Ford still can't seem to figure out this market.....

Thank you. Yes, there are other reasons like Covid delays, slow production ramp-up, a feeding frenzy, etc.. A wrap isn't durable enough for me and complete color change is a bit inauthentic. Not to mention to do it properly I believe would mean near total disassembly from the frame rails up... just a guess at this point.

Thanks - Yes, waiting on 2027 model year announcements is part of the program. Don't see any way of getting an order in on the absolutely remote chance of being successful before then. ...
Don't let the pursuit of perfection be the enemy of good.

There is a zero chance that Ford will produce a custom-one-off color no matter who you recruit to lobby for you. There is no guarantee that the Heritage Edition remains a permanent trim in the Bronco line-up. There is still plenty of time to get an order in for MY'26. The order banks are not closed.

If you are looking to save money on a paint/wrap, then get the Shadow Black HE. With a dark green that you are wanting, the jams won't have to be painted/wrapped. The disassembly/assembly requires a lot of labor increasing the total cost.

Drew P. was one of the first Bronco deliveries in July of 2021. His immediately went to be painted Epic Orange in time for the Carlisle Nationals.

More ChatGpt sorcery so as to memorialize on the off chance someone at Ford sees and gets a bug... and not the Cyclosporiasis variety : ) Funny about what details are altered or left out. I think it would look pretty sharp. Not to the taste of others - I understand, no need to comment.

Homeboy posts that he wants an “authentic” heritage Bronco, then posts pics of a 4-door.

FAIL.

Retiring colors is a proven tactic, it helps gets buyers who are close to buying but won't commit. If you threaten to retire something that they like, for a lot its color, it helps to get them to move. "What if my color won't be available next year?"

I don't like the trend of companies retiring colors so fast, my favorite color that Ford has produced is Galaxy Blue and they retired that color on the very first Bronco. Jeep did it with the turquoise that was only available on the Rubicon.

Having to wrap the car is probably best for paint longevity, the wrap protects it.
It also works in reverse. I have a '13 Mustang in Deep Impact Blue. For me, the best blue I've ever seen. I had the itch a few years after to upgrade to a S550, but didn't want to give up my DIB, hah.

However, these days I'm glad I kept the '13 over an S550 for about a dozen different reasons, so it all worked out.

It even worse for Mustangs. I went looking the other day and it's.. bad. Lots of greys of course, but even the "colors" are drab. I can't imaging they aren't doing market research, but holy hell are their colors ass.

It's OK, I've probably bought my last Ford, but the certainly aren't enticing me with this kind of crap.

with a white painted steel hard top
I mean , at this point, a fiberglass top that lasts DECADES, like they made in the 70's, 80's & 90's would be fine also.

Somehow they forgot what works ... like the rattle free, frameless side windows.

You know Ford puts the information out there as to what you can order. I knew that I was going to get a Bronco, just did not know exactly which year I would be ready. I went over build and price for several years and knew exactly what I wanted, a Everglades in eruption green, automatic. I always liked slightly off beat trim levels. Then in the Fall of 24 when I was ready to order, the Everglades trim level was dropped for 25 MY and what inventory was left at dealers lots was sketchy colors that I didn't want. So I had to rethink. There were some new colors coming out in 25, at first I thought that they were just more shades of gray but as I actually got to see marsh gray I saw that it was really more muddy brown and kind of liked it especially with the black hard top in the black appearance package, no way was I going to get a MIC top. I have driven a Bronco with the MIC top and don't see how anyone could stand them after driving a painted hard top.

I also decided that since the Everglades was no longer available that I really wanted the most capable Bronco and wanted the 2.7 V6 rather than the 4 banger, never wanted a Raptor, hate the stance. So a Badlands was what I chose, ordered everything except the HOSS 3.0, high speed desert driving is something that I will never do. My build was in job 1 2025, I ordered the Lux package with leather and got the stitched dash, looks great.

I love the Bronco that I ordered and intend to keep it for a while. It is a very capable and comfortable ride.

When it comes to Broncos, you do need to do your research, find what Ford is offering and pick a trim and options that make you happy, don't ask the crowd here. Your Bronco, your money, your happiness

Dammit Ford get with the program... The germans do it why cant we. Porsche has their PTS program where you can get literally any color you want. Ive seen ferrari colors done. Granted thats about a $30k option or more.
BMW doesn't quite have paint to sample like Porsche, but they do offer an "Individual" paint upgrade where you get your pick of 160+ colors for $5k. Honestly struck me as a pretty good deal.

Ford follows costco wear trends because its fast fashion for masses and on point which is why they post record sales with their boring earth tones and washed out colors.

Plan on spending $10-15K to finish the Bronco tonown taste no matter the trim sadly none of the $300K SUVs are convertible as well. I know which one id choose either way.

Rest assured they’re doing market research, which is part of why they did record numbers last quarter and out-sold the (candy-colored) Wrangler lineup.

I get that it’s a bit chicken-egg with the color argument, but I’m sure a lot of the pushback is from dealerships, who likely find it much harder to sell inventory that is brightly painted — so they don’t order it, so Ford doesn’t make it.

Guys here who were driving in the 70s remember bold colors and are nostalgic, but I’m skeptical that many under-50 buyers want Acid Green or Plum Crazy. A wider array of classic colors? Maybe. Market research seems to say “nope.”

Ford should look at my AI video and create a water slide for Bronco's

I especially love the hallucination it does at the end and flips it around. 🤖📡

Not to mention the ugly duckling that is the S650. No matter the color, I'm not giving up my S550 for one of these monstrosities.

DIB was available on S550, at least for '15. I pondered ordering mine in DIB, but had to have red interior and I wasn't sure how that would play out long term paired with DIB (it was possible to order) so I went safe with Magnetic.

Hello -
I'm new to this forum and not yet a new generation Bronco owner... but I'm trying : )

After having waited for some time, like the initial announcement, I've had my eye on acquiring a new generation Bronco and in particular the Heritage edition. I've finally decided to take the plunge but discovering exterior color options are sorely limited and worse yet, even my 3rd choice color has been discontinued! Argggg! So far there appears to be no way me, as a consumer, can actually purchase what I want (see attached). From my perspective how can Ford NOT build this? Dark Moss or Dark Ivy Green (don't say DHG) were standard colors on the Bronco back in the day and fits perfectly with the Heritage theme. I suspect others perhaps share that thought... or not.

My question at this point is, does anyone know anyone that might have the lobbying juice to get one or more built? An exec, a large volume dealer, etc.? Has anyone heard of anyone who's gone down that road resulting in success? I'm willing to lead the charge if there's a viable path forward.

Thanks for any/all responses... flames cheerfully ignored : )

(p.s. I told ChatGpt to use Sierra Green Metallic, which I've found it flops brown - ng for me) but rendered in roughly Dark Ivy (don't say DHG) which really what I'm after.)

I actually think a dark green Heritage would be a fantastic combination. The Heritage trim already leans heavily into the classic Bronco look, and a Dark Ivy or Dark Moss-style green with the white roof would look period-correct while still feeling modern. Whether Ford would do a one-off is another story, but if enough buyers showed interest, it's the kind of limited-run color I could see generating a lot of demand. I'd definitely put my name on that list.
