Thanks to all constructive contributors and thoughtful comments... jerks, trolls and the ignorant not with standing.

For better or worse my process is always to exhaust most/all potential clear pathways to a given outcome before considering compromise as a viable option - if time permits. It appears within this group none have been experienced or known to exist - though some have explored to some degree maybe? This of course doesn't mean one or more don't.

Thinking out loud... I wonder if fleet sales might be a possibility.

I still think it possible that Ford could be enticed - and yes I know the effort needs to make sense for them on numerous levels... financial considerations being only part of the overall spitball to production rollout landscape. No doubt it's a heavy, burdensome process... don't ask me how I know : )

Thanks again to all!

Do with this what you will, last when I ordered from Ford and tried to get a custom paint job it came down to what they currently had at the plant. When further asked if I could get the vehicle assembled and delivered with only primer they informed that all vehicles will only be shipped when fully painted. Special orders, when available, apparently get more paint options but its a biiiiiiiiiig surcharge.

And they told me Antimatter Blue was 100% never going to happen with the Bronco I wanted to order

This is a Bronco enthusiast site so there is a lot of passion about the perfect color. But I believe ( and suspect that Ford believes through marketing) that the majority of Bronco purchasers only want bland colors that won't hurt the vehicle's trade-in value when they get something else in a couple of years. Just look at the clothes the average person wears not to mention the color of their houses. We live in a bland society and this is a mass market vehicle. Broncos sales are up this year so Ford must know what they are doing.

Reality is most people don’t want a “Hey, look at me!” vehicle. It’s only a small % of enthusiasts who do — disproportionately represented here in this forum. ;-)

Calif. DOT (CalTrans) used have vehicle/equipment painted orange but around 2000 had to change to white when manufacturers became unwilling to do special paint, even for fleets…good luck with getting them to change for you…

While they would be more receptive to you, You have to actually talk to the local fleet sales people to even get started on it, and it's going to be highly variable on how much help they'll be, dependent on the dealer. Start by locating your closest Commercial dealer thru https://www.fordpro.com/en-us/

While they will be far more receptive to a 'special' color request, (They deal with them all the time!), You're not going to like how they handle a one off....

They order a white one, and take it and get it wrapped for you to your specification. This will be no more 'authentic' then doing it yourself, and the only record you'll have of it is the invoice from the dealer.

Depending on the dealer, there will be some magic number of orders where they'll go with paint instead of a wrap...

And of course if you pay enough, they'll get your one off painted, But that would probably cost considerably more than getting it done yourself. And again, won't be particularly authentic.

Funny, back in the day I always thought of Fords in dark green as bland. It seems every model came in that color. That's why I like it today - the word 'unassuming' comes to mind. I thought even less of the Maroon... but I digress.

Welcome to B6G. Are there other reasons why you haven't bought a Heritage edition? Seems like a color hasn't stopped others from purchasing a Bronco and had it wrapped or painted immediately. 🤷‍♂️

Exactly! Paint it whatever color you like.
