I think this is correct. My research has me believing that JKS max tire and 1.5 body lift. (No additional weight from bumpers, carriers, winch etc.) will clear 37’s and still have full articulation of the suspension and steering. Is this wrong?
And to the other poster- you will be waiting for the rest of your ownership. There aren’t other solutions. There’s no free lunch kids. You want to keep the OE Fox shocks, then you’re going to give up a little.
Some people will just use this for justification to do nothing at all.
You’re saying you want a solution that isn’t possible.
The answer is replace the shocks.
I didn’t do the body lift because I didn’t want the gaps. That’s literally the only reason. It’s otherwise the only other alternative worth considering.
Mind you- if you keep those stock foxes and add a bunch of weight with bumpers and winches it’s over. They ARE position sensitive and that has to do with valving.
I’ll say again- there is no free lunch.
Pick your compromise, whichever impacts you the least, and get moving.
Or complain forever that everything is a compromise and do nothing while you wait for a solution that is never coming.
