Hood struts: which ones to get?

So as you know I went with the Redline Tuning Struts. Wow they are great. The install was quick and simple. They look great too.

How high do the RedLine MAX make the top of the hood? Will a shorter dude have trouble reaching it?

Our MaxLIFT system will raise the hood 8 inches higher than the factory prop-rod. You could always grab the hood from the side if it is too tall.

I don't have my truck yet so I have nothing to compare to - if its going to be out of reach but the non MAX would be in reach, I'd go non ... any idea how high each is off the ground?

i was going to go generic as they are ~$15 for the set.

Anyone know the collapsed length and extended length of the struts needed.

Then ill just make mounts

The redline elite high lift installed flawlessly for me. Not that I was expecting problems...

But kudos to them for a thoughtfully designed product with a simple installation.

We offer two different lift heights for the Bronco. Our standard QuickLIFT system raises your hood to the same height as the factory Prop Rod and our Max Lift system raises the hood 8 inches higher for maximum access to the engine compartment. Both systems are available in PLUS, Carbon and ELITE versions as shown below. There is no functional difference between PLUS, Carbon and ELITE, it's only the finish of the gas spring. That being said the Max LIFT PLUS is our most popular system.
