You need to use mObridge DSP not mObridge updater and it should all workDid you ever get this sorted? I'm in the same boat now.
I'm running a w/ MAC Sonoma.
Got it working. didnt know there was an updated mObridge DSP. Tried to update with the old one. Was able to update the firmware. Once the update is done does the bronco tune need to be reapplied? I ask because my system doesn't sound the same. You need to use mObridge DSP not mObridge updater and it should all work
You're gonna blow all the speakers,Question for m0bridge:
Understanding that sound is subjective, how much improvement does your system add to the overall sound of the factory B&O without replacing any speakers? $1,800 isn't nothing and I don't want to sink that much into it if in order to get decent improvements in sound it's honestly going to take another $1,000+ in replacement speakers. Thanks!
Well, the upgrade would only blow the OEM speakers if you drive them too hard, but the m0bridge has gain pots so you can dial them down to avoid blowing speakers. I have heard others say that the stock speakers are fine and just underpowered by the OEM amp, hence upgrading the amp in quality and power seems to improve the sound overall. I am OK spending $1,800 on improvements in sound but not $2,800+. I'm too old to need the type of sound system I thought I needed in my 20s.You're gonna blow all the speakers,
$1800 in signal equalizing mono amp, loaded sub enclosure Audison AP woofers, coax, 6.5 and sound deadening and absorber DIY will sound amazing as is does in my B&O.
Don't even need my Audison DSP amp that's is classifieds.
Can always try and if blow just get new onesWell, the upgrade would only blow the OEM speakers if you drive them too hard, but the m0bridge has gain pots so you can dial them down to avoid blowing speakers. My F-150 and F-250 B&O systems are nothing to write home about, so I assume the Bronco's will be similar. These Ford/B&O systems degrade the B&O brand IMO. B&O home stereos are amazing as are Mark Levinson, McIntosh, etc. Not sure why they all feel comfortable putting incredibly watered down systems in vehicles. Anyway...I'm diverging from my point.
That will be the plan for sure. Thanks for your feedback bud.Can always try and if blow just get new ones![]()
Sneak peak!Hello All - Can I get some of your POVs for my situation ?
I have a 2024 Bronco Raptor with B&O ( and MOD top ). I am going to spend a weekend doing soundproofing ( the Resonix kit - similar to what was done in this thread: https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/b...-sound-deadening-noise-reduction-installation ).
I am sound proofing to reduce the noise at highway speed - at least to make using my cell phone a little more tolerable for others on the line. I realize I am fighting the design of the Bronco - but will do what I can. I will also gummi pflege the top seals.
Given that I will gut the interior - I am considering adding the " K2 8.1.1 Channel DSP Amplifier – B&O A2B Plug-N-Play Kit Ford Bronco ". So here are a few questions:
1) For those of you who have done the install - how long did it take you. I am thinking I can cut that time in half given I am already removing the interior for the Resonix
2) I don't plan on upgrading the speakers ( at least for now ). I did this once in my older Porsche that has a Bose system, where I had a Helix amp added. Sounded great ! Has anyone kept the B&O speakers ? What master gain did you use on the Amp ?
3) Has anyone added any sound proofing to the Mod Top ?
TIA - Dan
It's actually cheap when you think of the total systemDoes mobridge ever have a sale or provide discount codes? System is nice but very pricey!
Yes, it’s a great option. Didn’t mean to suggest it wasn’t worth the cost, just that it’s a fair chunk of change! It's actually cheap when you think of the total system
- wiring and bracket kit
- interface
- competition grade 8 channel DSP amplifier
- 500w monoblock
All in one box!
Occasionally we do run a coupon however we haven't for a while due to stock shortages
Are you saying that you will soon be releasing a new amp kit for 2021-2024 B&O Broncos? If so, what’s the timing?Sneak peak!
We just got done installing the next generation amplifier into a 2024 Braptor.
More power, lower distortion, next gen DSP. Wiring was cleaned up before the panel was put back on!
1) it is now optional to run the ACM harness. If you do not plan on upgrading rear pods to 6inch then you can leave the headunit running the center and rear pods and the zen amp DSP can control them. This means the only wire you have to run is the power wire <1hr job
2) this is exactly the install we did, we kept the b&O speakers and just upgraded the sub. Night and day difference and tune file is available!
3) can't comment as we did not.
