  1. Hi all

Thanks so much for this write up. Looks great! Can you comment on how this compares to the Mobridge system? Sounds like Fraser is with both mobridge and navtv. So maybe this is an upgrade to the mobridge system? I’m looking to replace the factory B&O system on my 2023 Badlands.
  2. Hi all

Are you saying that you will soon be releasing a new amp kit for 2021-2024 B&O Broncos? If so, what’s the timing?
  3. Hi all

Yes, it’s a great option. Didn’t mean to suggest it wasn’t worth the cost, just that it’s a fair chunk of change!
  4. Hi all

Does mobridge ever have a sale or provide discount codes? System is nice but very pricey!
  5. 4 Low Rattle. 2D Manual Non-Sas Badlands

That makes sense. The sound is louder than I would expect (maybe too much drivetrain slop?), but I don’t have much to compare to. Helpful to know the sound in that video is normal. Thanks!
  6. 4 Low Rattle. 2D Manual Non-Sas Badlands

My 7MT Badlands has always made this exact same clanking sound, mostly in 4L. Has anyone figured out what this is?
  7. B&O System Speaker Upgrade Options - Back to basics and keeping stock amplifiers and subwoofer

Another reason for the stock B&O 4” rear pods sounding bad is that the 6.5” kick panel woofers fade out (along with the dash speakers) when fading to the rear. With front fade you get the 4” 2-way dash corners plus the woofers (and some sub and center channel). With rear fade you only get 1-way...
  8. B&O System Speaker Upgrade Options - Back to basics and keeping stock amplifiers and subwoofer

Since the center speaker is being driven by the head unit (not the DSP amp), I’m guessing that not much equalization is applied. I verified that the center speaker still has output in Stereo mode (although less than in Surround mode, as you said). Hard to tell if the sound is improved when it is...
  9. B&O System Speaker Upgrade Options - Back to basics and keeping stock amplifiers and subwoofer

Yes, I looked it up in the circuit diagrams of the Ford workshop manual. The center dash speaker and rear pods are driven by the head unit (ACM). The ACM sends audio to the DSP amp (via Automobile Audio Bus, A2B), which drives subwoofer, dash corners, and kick panels. Another possibility why...
  10. B&O System Speaker Upgrade Options - Back to basics and keeping stock amplifiers and subwoofer

FYI -the stock B&O center speaker is 1-way, and the dash corners are 2-way. So after I replaced the dash corners, I just moved one of the original dash corner speakers to the center. I haven’t done a lot of testing on that center speaker replacement, but I’m guessing its better than the...
  11. B&O System Speaker Upgrade Options - Back to basics and keeping stock amplifiers and subwoofer

Thanks for your thoughts. I did some more research and found the following specs for anyone interested. Note that sensitivity values depend on both impedance and the method used (1 W @ 1 meter or 2.83V @ 1 meter, and other important details), so direct comparisons are not always good. In...
  12. B&O System Speaker Upgrade Options - Back to basics and keeping stock amplifiers and subwoofer

Awesome work! You’ve saved people countless hours. I have a tangent question, since I might want to upgrade the amp after replacing the speakers (depending on how the new setup sounds). Do you have thoughts on which speakers you would recommend that could handle more power? The mobridge amp...
