Hey everyone, I’m finally able to start looking for a 2-door Heritage( extended illness put it on hold). Anyway, in my search I contacted a dealer who had one in transit but someone had a deposit on it already. He then told me that Ford was discontinuing the heritage for 2025 and was no longer taking orders. Any truth to this? I’m in GA and the closest available one I can find is in South Florida.

The Limited HE definitely is, it was limited to 1966 of each body type divided by the 3 colors and they're on the last one now. As for the standard HE??? who knows since there's be no word from Ford. If you can find a dealer that has one on the lot that meets your specs then I'd fly in and drive it back or have it shipped. You can also see if the dealers in your area have any allocation for them, last I heard it was only the 2-doors, 4-doors were closed out for the year.

He must have been thinking about the Limited. I'll be trading my current vehicle so flying to Florida isn't an option. I could drive there and spend a few days. The Heritage 2-door is really the only trim I want, specifically in Race Red.

Well, post up that you're looking in the Heritage thread:

Typically if we find one on a dealer lot we'll post it up sometimes or maybe someone can put feelers out for you. Same with the Heritage FB page, seems they're pretty active so if there's one on the lot somewhere I'd be prepared to make the trip because I have doubts they'll be around for '25.

I love the limiteds. I have a FE I'm perfectly happy with, but I admit I thought about trading it in on a limited. I love the look of them (heritage in general). Good luck with getting one! I'm sure you'll fine the right one if you look enough.

Something to consider. I was able to get significantly more $$ than trading to a dealer from a buyer like Carvana, Carmax, WeBuyAnyCar, ect. Covered the tax trade savings with more to boot. Opens up your possibilities if you don’t have a trade and can then travel and drive it home.

I tried to order a 24 heritage through my local preferred dealer and they wouldn't take the order. I never really got a good explanation other than they couldn't guarantee the wait time or their allocations for it. They had no problem taking an order for other models though. Was kind of strange honestly.

Was that a Heritage Limited or just a regular Heritage?

The ordering window for MY2024 Heritage Edition (Not Heritage Limited) trim level Broncos has ended, so indeed Ford is not accepting new orders from dealers at this time.
However, most dealers expect the order window (build slots) for MY2025 to open soon for October production.
With a MY2025 Heritage, I suspect you'll benefit from a better instrument cluster and vents at the rear of the center console for the rear passengers.
I myself am waiting for build slots to open for a 2025 Heritage Edition 4-door.

Your dealer is correct that Ford is no longer accepting orders for Heritage and Heritage Limited. 2-door Heritage was still available up until a week or two ago, but yeah... that window has since passed. Your best option right now is to find one the lot, or "adopt" an abandoned order someone else made in the past.

2025 trims/options have not been officially announced yet. There are some hints and clues based on previous roadmaps communicated to dealerships as well as what Ford has done in other regions of the world. But nothing official or finalized yet. No dates have been announced yet either, but most dealerships are expecting to hear something within the next 2-6 weeks.

I must have missed the scheduling post on the two doors, so all but Limited's are closed out for the year then.

My big hunch for Heritages was that the standard HE announcement was tied into the Limited's release which ends this year. Sure it's possible they could continue it but the big item on both is the mod top and we've already seen what Ford moved on to with the Shadow Black one that was posted the other day along with the body color pics. I don't see Ford keeping the HE mod with removable windows and the optional painted top with non removable windows plus the MIC just to build a trim that numbered at most 5k for both years and was a documented nightmare getting them to customers, ask @Landofcheese how he likes his '23 that just got delivered to him.

I'd say buy one now if you can find one, but I've been wrong before and probably will again.
