  1. Traded for Ranger

I had planned to buy a T6 Ranger and Everest when I returned home to the states in 2018. Then I learned the Ranger wouldn't be offered with the 3.2L diesel, nor the 2.2L diesel or 2.0 EcoBlue diesel. And worst of all, Ford decided not to offer the (Ranger-based) Everest. That really burned me...
  2. New Vendor Here!! FABTECH w/ Our Heavy Duty Tie-Rods & Other Bronco Parts

Town & Country Ford's YouTube channel has long touted Fabtech.
  3. Oil Change Experience

Install the Fumoto F107SX oil drain valve and perform services yourself. With the valve, no mess. Buy genuine Motorcraft filters wholesale from Rock Auto. And you'll use a far better quality oil than the what the dealer buys for his bulk oil tank (I use Castrol Edge - $28 5qt container)
  4. Why no locking fuel fill door on the Bronco ???

Note the video in the first post. Not cable actuated. Simpler and cheaper factory install than a cable. It’s a theft “deterrent”.
  5. Why this guy bought a Rubicon over a Bronco

When I saw the 2005 Jeep Gladiator concept in Beijing, I wanted one. But the production item that finally launched years later.....not so much. . https://www.motor1.com/news/276275/jeep-gladiator-concept-we-forgot/
  6. Why this guy bought a Rubicon over a Bronco

Comparing Wrangler and Bronco is alike comparing apples and oranges.
  7. BFGoodrich KO3 All Terrain Tire Launches as Successor to KO2

I myself would mind the added weight, particularly on my Broncos which have SAS suspensions "tuned" for the unusually lightweight Goodyears.
  8. BFGoodrich KO3 All Terrain Tire Launches as Successor to KO2

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a60658880/bfgoodrich-ko3-all-terrain-tire-launch-details/ BFGoodrich has announced the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire as the successor to the legendary KO2. As things currently stand, the new KO3 is factory-equipped on the new Ford Ranger Raptor and certain...
  9. DV8 Offroad | Capable Bumper Front License Plate Mount

Installed today. The mounting holes are slightly off sideways so it isn't quite centered. I had to completely remove one bolt. Had their design been on the mark, I wouldn't have had to. Anyway, more disappointed about it being impossible to center it due to the bolt cut-out slot location in...
  10. Why no locking fuel fill door on the Bronco ???

Correct, yes sir. Simple and effective.
  11. Why no locking fuel fill door on the Bronco ???

Because it's a good idea, very low cost and most customers would appreciate it.
  12. Why no locking fuel fill door on the Bronco ???

My Hyundai Elantra GT (Golf-like hatchback) has a very inexpensive and simple "deadbolt" design locking system. Note it's a "no key" design. I appreciate being able to lock out thieves. I don't appreciate Ford for not providing me with fuel fill door locking functionality on my $55k and $62k...
  13. 2024 Badlands - to SAS or Not

Forgive me. I have a 2024, which as you know received many critical improvements. We really can't compare pre-2024s and 2024-on. Agreed?
  14. 2024 Badlands - to SAS or Not

The suspension is different, and that different suspension "works" with the larger and heavier tires/rims. The axle ratio has nothing at all to do with ride quality.
  15. 2024 Badlands - to SAS or Not

The SAS on my 2024 Heritage rides like a dream. Handling is superb and it rides smoother than many cars. You’re making a mountain out of a mole hill. With a great ride, a far broader capability spectrum and better resale value, opting for SAS is the prudent choice.
  16. Gas Mileage Boost

My 2024 2.3L/auto Heritage/SAS gets 20 city, 22 hwy with 87. I take it easy, no rush. I use cruise control a lot, including around town. I haven't experimented with Eco yet.
  17. K&N Replacement Air Filter

CLEAN ONCE EVERY 5 YEARS: Engine air filter only needs cleaning every 75,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions (5 years based on the average miles driven per year of 15,000 miles) I''m sure they're talking about ideal southern California conditions. I clean mine every 5 years on my...
  18. K&N Replacement Air Filter

We are aware of the "urban myth" created by a few dealerships that a vehicle's MAF sensor can be contaminated by K&N filter oil. No evidence has ever been provided to support this "myth" and years of diagnostic testing by K&N has shown that not only is this allegation not real, it is not even...
  19. K&N Replacement Air Filter

Thank you all. I'll go ahead and order. I read the reviews here. Amazon has a vivid picture of the alleged issue. The inside diameter looks different to me, roughly 3-1/2" versus 4". https://www.knfilters.com/e-0634-replacement-air-filter...
