Headlight ?

I feel dumb asking this, but can’t seem to figure it out. If I put my headlights on Auto, they are extremely bright and it looks like the high beam is on. When I move them to off Auto, it is just the “ring” and horizontal lights that turn on. I’d like to have my headlights on Auto but people are constantly flashing their brights at me, and I get it, it seems abnormally bright. TIA!

You may be the first to say that they're extremely bright. Compared to a nightlight, yes...otherwise, no.

Have you done anything that would lift your lights a bit? If so, just adjust them down a bit.

Judging by your profile picture you’re on larger tires and potentially a lift?

Did you adjust your headlights down after that? Otherwise it’s pretty obvious why you’re blinding people.

But yeah.. spin those puppies down a few turns cause nobody likes lifted/leveled bro that doesn't know how to adjust headlights blinding all the oncoming traffic

Maybe I have low expectations but mine are plenty bright especially on high. That said my newest vehicle previous to this was an 04

They and much better than 2004 also, even after I hit it sandpaper.

Like others have said, you have a lifted, looks like Outer Banks. Adjust your headlights down to compensate for the lift.

Ok, this is just to cover the bases, especially the one that irks me, did you check if you have automatic high beams on?

I really like what the IIHS has done around crash testing, passenger compartment integrity, etc. However their more recent work with headlights, automation and pushing for big brother “features“ is just another example of how nothing good lasts.

First, make sure you don't have auto-brights set to ON.

I keep forgetting Bronco has these since I turned them off before I left the dealership. Seriously, I spent 15 minutes diving through every setting before I drove off the lot.

Second, I hear folks on the forum complain about the headlights not being bright enough, but the headlights on my Bronco are the brightest lights I have ever had on a vehicle.

the auto bright light feature is wild. Why you want your brights on at random times is wild. I turned that feature off.

They definitely don't qualify as optimal. Unless I'm misreading these. The Signature lighting is better.
I may add DOT rated driving lights.
