I’m looking to add onboard air for an air horn, pneumatic tools, air up, etc. I’m considering a small compressor by Hadley (which has its pros and cons) and looking to put it in under the hood to keep it dry (its not weather resistant).
Looking under the hood there is a perfect spot for it. My concern is it would sit opposite of the transfer case control module unit, mounted to the same bracket on the passenger side. When the compressor kicks on, vibrations will definitely ensue (even with the provided rubber feet which are supposed to minimize it).
I thought I saw a post on here where someone mounted theirs to the same bracket. But it might have been a different forum.
My initial thought is “Perfect spot!” But knowing how fragile electronics are coupled with how much this thing will vibrate, I am a bit hesitant to mount it to the transfer case control module’s bracket.
Thoughts?
