I’ve been dealing with the noise from the tailgate for several weeks. I finally had someone sit in the back today and pinpointed it to the rubber seal at the bottom of the window. I drove with it open and no more noise. I’m going to buy this Krytox and try that. Thank you. This has been driving me insane.
Let us know how the Krytox works please

Been dealing with a tailgate rattle on my wife’s 2024 Raptor. Solved the issue 100% today. She would get a decent metal clunking sound when going over anything bigger than a small bump. I road in the back to pinpoint the sound and found it to be coming from the bottom post where the tailgate latches onto body (labeled “A”). I was able to remove 100% of this sound by doing 3 layers of heat shrink over that post. Made the tailgate much more secure.

However, once I did that, we then had a creaking noise coming from the rear tailgate area. I was able to remove this sound completely by applying Krytox GPL205 to the bottom window rubber (labeled B) (thanks to another member’s post recommendation).

The Bronco sounds like a much nicer vehicle with both of these sounds completely gone.

I did not find a solution when looking through the threads so wanted to show what worked for us. Hopefully this helps someone.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

I was having the "B" issue. Like another person who posted, I had my wife drive around and climbed in the back. After a bit of back and forth, then coming here to search, found your post.

Yep, a little garage door grease applied across the rubber seal on the bottom of that window did the trick. It's been driving me insane for weeks, like a cricket in a basement!
