Thanks for the reply. When you applied it, did you just use paper towel and wipe the whole thing? Just got my bronco about 3 weeks ago and it already has the noise. Hoping this fixes it. I had my wife sit in the back(her request) and she said she thought it was coming from inside the tailgate door.
That’s my issue, and many other’s as well. Sounds like Ford under-engineered these and the rivets are popping.

My Bronco (4dr hardtop sas) just started making this metallic popping/clicking noise while driving on roads that aren't perfectly smooth. It started at about 900 miles on the car. It is constant and it is driving me insane. I cannot reproduce the sound while the car is parked. I have no one to drive me around while I sit in the back but I'm pretty sure it's the tailgate. I've read about various tailgate noises and wondering if this type of noise has happened to anyone.
Happened to me, but it ended up being issues with the soft top.

I’m going to get some Krytox to use on the tailgate seal and also the MIC seals periodically.

Do you guys recommend the .5 ounce or 2 ounce size? .5 ounces seems so small, but I’m not sure how far a little tube goes.

Thanks for any advice.

.5 oz enough for 2 applications, each 3 mos. apart, with some to spare.

Got the Krytox and helped with the case of water squeak. I’m still getting a popping sound. Possibly from the hinges? Anyone else experiencing this? It’s driving me crazy. Listed the car yesterday because of it - been to Ford 3x with no fix.

I have this and solved the problem. It was caused by the rubber seal rubbing against the back of the tailgate.

I put some rubber seal conditioner (gunnipledge) on the rubber - sound gone.

Joining the tailgate rattle fam! Yall check out this sound and feel free to suggest. When the tailgate is unlatched from the truck, taps on sheet metal don’t reveal any rattle or noise. There’s no interior trim rattling. About 800 miles on this 2024. Right now, the spare is off, but this sound is present with or without the spare.
