Does adding a tune void the factory warranty?
Sponsored
Not if you get it installed by a dealer.Does adding a tune void the factory warranty?
The Ford Performance calibration comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty from the vehicle's in-service date supplied by Ford Performance if installed by a Ford dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technicianSo I’m interested in the Ford Performance tune for my 2.3L, but nobody can really give me a definitive answer on wether or not it will void the factory warranty.![]()

Installing it won’t “void” your factory warranty, but certain things would/could no longer be covered by Ford, and would then be covered by Ford Performance instead.
ESP is technically not Ford, so it may affect coverage on that depending on the failure.
Doesn’t really make a difference. However, the sooner you install it, the longer your 3/36 warranty is active since it’s by in service date.My vehicle is brand new and currently has 225 miles. When is the best time to have the tuner installed?
So how did it go? Are they now making Ford Pro Tunes for the 2025 models? Or, did you go with another brand?Sooooo..........according to me selling dealer a tech was able to locate a tune using my VIN. It will be installed tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath.
Ninja edit: Big shocker......the tech couldn't tune the truck. I tried to tell him, but noooooooo. I showed him my shocked face.....![]()
Well thanks anyway. Let us know when Ford tuners become available for the new 2.3LNo Ford tune available and two other companies I reached out to didn't even realize that the motor has changed. The third is waiting for support becoming available from HP Tuners. Nothing seems to be available anywhere right now.
If the '25 2.3 tune is anything like pre '25 HPP 2.3 you'll love the off the line response and low end torque just use lowest ethanol 91+ fuel you can find.So I’m interested in the Ford Performance tune for my 2.3L, but nobody can really give me a definitive answer on wether or not it will void the factory warranty.![]()
