Fitting Bronco Raptor into TINY 1 Car Garage???

I have a Bronco Raptor, and have questions on how hard it would be to fit it into a garage where the garage door opening is 95 inches. On paper it should work, the Braptor is around 86 inches, door is 95, leaving me with some room. My question is how hard is it to pull it in when you only have a few inches to play with. I have read of some people doing it on this forum, but just a few and really wanted to see if anyone does this daily? Once inside the garage opens up and all is well, just threading the needle to fit the car in seems challenging just looking at the numbers, but I have read different opinions from others about it being managable. I would just test it out myself but my car is accross the country from the house I am looking to buy. Thank you for your feedback!!!

To bad no power retracting mirrors other wise will be close but doable although it's a good excuse to simply widen and heighten the door.

I agree power mirrors would be great. I dont mind closing them in to pull car in, just wonder even after doing that how hard it will be to fit car into garage. Wish I could widen garage HOA a pain lol

I find it's an inconvenience to flip the roof closed to go into my UG parking and all I have to do is hop out..... closing both mirrors manually would be a pain.

I would ask HOA for widening approval in principal or the seller as a condition or move on to different place or different vehicle if too painful.

I find that looking out the side window at the big front fender on the Raptor makes getting close to walls very easy. Give yourself a few inches of clearance between the fender and the wall and your sideview mirror will clear, too.

I back mine in everyday, no problem. As long as your drive way allows you room to line up straight and not have to enter while in a turn, you’ll be golden! I usually just watch my drivers mirror, give myself 2-3” to edge I know I have plenty of room on pass side.

I have a situation like that with my 1955 garage. I have less than 4” clearance on each side to make it thru the door.

My solution was to mark the exact centerline on the floor of the garage with duct tape that has a yellow/black hazard pattern for visibility. Then I turn on my front camera as I pull up and into the garage - first centering on the garage door handle before I open it, then centered on the tape line as I drive in or back out. When I back out, I am in neutral rolling backwards with the slight slope of the floor, so i can get the front camera view.

I have a mini bull bar on my front bumper which has a couple mounting screws for lights that make it easy to judge the vehicle centerline and compare to the tape line.

Mine is small as well. The mirror fold idea does not matter on the Raptor because they do not stick out any further than the fenders. I actually use the drivers mirror to gauge the distance my passenger side is away from the garage entrance. If I only have an inch or two clearance on my drivers mirror I know instinctively that I am good on my passenger side and I pull straight in. The first few times I pulled in, I leaned out my window to see the fender clearance. As it went through the opening, I stopped and studied the site picture (what the position of the hood was in the opening) so that I could just pull in every time without worry. Hope this helps.

I use my camera to see the right side and mirrors

I do it every day.

I’ve done it in my other garage with 4” to spare. 2” on each side. That’s more challenging

My problem isn’t 9 inches of garage clearance. My IQ appears to be too high. Anyone else have that “problem”? Discuss but please be sure to keep mentioning my large brain. Thanks.

1 - does the Bronco have to be parked in the garage?

2- Why move to a place with a HOA? That is the thing nightmares are made of

This. Back it in.... way easier to judge the gaps.... Some 3" frog eye mirrors stuck on the lower outer corner of your door mirrors also helps greatly.

If you're still in the position to choose, choose a house with a wider garage opening. All it's going to take is one time of hitting the Braptor on the door opening and you'll wish you could go back in time and redo this decision.
