Agreed. I suspect it might not have been very secure from the factory and it seems like it's been a common issue hence the recall. After an attempt to reuse the OE push pins and clips, the bodyshop ordered brand new ones and it seems very secure now.
This is interesting - my brand new 2026 BRaptor got the passenger front flare knocked off at a car wash and the guys there told me they've had that issue on several BRaptors (I wish they had told me before it went through . . . but at least they paid for the flare's repaint and PPF)...
Another vote for the Exoshield here. I had the film on my 2024 and it saved my windshield countless times. It got a few nicks from bigger stones at high speed but nothing that impeded visibility. I did notice a little of the wiper stutter on my 2024 when the film was brand new but, after a...
Since I traded my '24 Wildtrak for a '26 BRaptor a month ago, I have really appreciated the upgraded engine (and transmission logic) but I have missed the narrower fenders every time I am in a tight parking lot. This Filson edition might be the sweet spot.
I specifically tried to stay away from the ones with 90+k MSRPs but, in theory, they should have ever more room to move at that price. I've seen several 2025s in San Antonio with 90+k stickers and 8 or 9k off being advertised. Did not try to negotiate on them (and they are all still sitting on...
I find that looking out the side window at the big front fender on the Raptor makes getting close to walls very easy. Give yourself a few inches of clearance between the fender and the wall and your sideview mirror will clear, too.
OP - since you are concerned with dents, what about getting one of those tailgate Molle panels and then cutting a piece of 1/4" plywood to shape and attaching it to that panel?
For your use case (and for a lot of us, actually), aluminum skidplates make sense. I had Asfir brand ones on an Xterra years ago and they were excellent and other people offer aluminum, too. Steel skidplates are more durable but they weigh so much more and aren't necessary for most people.
When I switched the OE Wildtrak wheels and tires for the SCS with C load K02s 315/70/17, the new wheels and tires shaved about 2lbs overall on my scale. I would caution against the K02s, though - they never really balanced out right despite multiple balancings at different stores and Discount...
I had these SCS Blaze10s on my Wildtrak. Super light, +20 offset (so the wheel sits 10mm further outboard but the tires were still inside of the fender flares), very nice quality. I wish they offered wheels for my new BRaptor.
Blaze10 – STEALTH CUSTOM SERIES™
That is brilliant! I recently traded my Wildtrak for a BRaptor and the width and height differences haven't become familiar just yet. The Ford website has all sorts of incorrect measurements for the Broncos that make no sense, such as a Heritage being taller than a BRaptor??

Ah ok I am confused, though, because the wheels in post #43 don't appear to be those HREs?
And yes, I love HRE. Have got a set of forged ones on my GT350R.
