I haven't had any issues getting cleaned off the windshield film on mine.
Maybe I'll give it another go. Nothing like RainX.

How are these protection films with sun baked on bug splats? Do they clean like glass or leave a mark?
My experience is that it's no different than glass. It is a bit easier if it has been coated with RainX.

Car wash is fine. The ONLY thing is that you can't use usual RainX, it fogs terribly. There are special ones for plastic coatings, tho' I haven't noticed them working as well as RainX on glass.
Stay with me..... has anyone tried using a cut potato in their windshield? Supposed to work just as well as RainX, but obviously much cheaper. Something to do with the natural starches.

Another vote for the Exoshield here. I had the film on my 2024 and it saved my windshield countless times. It got a few nicks from bigger stones at high speed but nothing that impeded visibility. I did notice a little of the wiper stutter on my 2024 when the film was brand new but, after a little while, the wipers swept smoothly. On my new 2026, they have swept smoothly from the get-go. Well worth the investment.

And I understand that a new replacement windshield can be fairly inexpensive if your insurance covers it but, in my experience, very few installers truly do a good job. I'd always prefer to save the factory glass if possible.
