So I’m use to automatically doing a resonator and muffler delete on my V8s. I saw flowmaster has a delete pipe that seems pretty easy to install and extremely cheap compared to the full systems. My worry is how that’s going to sound on an engine like this. Has anyone done a delete that could give instight because I don’t want to be driving around sounding like a fart can.

I have the Flowmaster delete and I think it sounds great for what it is..

If your a big v8 noise guy though... might wanna just leave it be. It's no fart can drone.. but it IS still just a 4cyl.

Ok. Yea I definitely didn’t think it was going to be the same sound for obvious reasons, but I want a more throaty sound. Worst case scenario I spend the $120 and it doesn’t sound good and I put stock back on. Thanks for the reply

I think every ecoboost engine sounds horrible with aftermarket exhaust, but I would still do it for couple different reasons, size/weight reduction and longevity/stainless steel

Best description I can give you..................................

It will sound like a pissed off bumble bee.

Can't make a V-6 sound like a V-8.

4 and 6 cylinder engines do not typically have great sound. Especially 6 cylinders in my opinion. I experimented on my past Camaro V6- wasted $$ and never sounded good. I am leaving my Bronco 2.7 stock, not even thinking about any exhaust for it. Some 4 cylinders can sound good with the right aftermarket exhaust. Some sound amazing stock- like my son's Hyundai Elantra N. The sound coming from the huge dual exhaust outlets sounds absolutely amazing in Sport mode. All 4 cylinder sports cars and trucks should sound like this. V8's on the other hand sound good no matter what.

That's one of the things I miss most from my 1st gen Lightning. The rumble of the V8. Brought me back to my teenage days. Back then, nobody drove anything less than an 8 cyl. Then 1973 - 1974 happened.

My 70 Bronco I had when in college was such a cool Bronco. It was my second- my first one had was a 71 with tiny 170 cubic inch 6. The 70 had a modified 302, 3 speed on the tree. Edelbrock manifold, high performance cam, 4 barrel carb and headers with dual exhaust that exited right in front of the rear tires. That Bronco was one of my favorite vehicles of all time. The sound of the 302 with headers and duals was so sweet. So fun to drive- on and off road. My 2022 is nice but wish it had the Coyote V8 engine in it.

I have ZERO experience with doing anything exhaust related on the Bronco, and maybe there is a sound clip out there to back up my recommendation here...
I chose these on my 78 C10 with 3" pipe, H pipe, true duals back to rear exit and they sounded fabulous.
Deep exhaust note at idle, deep note and not raspy or babbling on acceleration, no popping or cracking on decel.
I know the 2.7 is NOT a hopped up 383 pushing 450hp with ceramic Blackjacks, but it was leaps and bounds above a 40 series or the obnoxious glasspacks that were on it when I bought it.

I also ran them on my 78 4X4 F series with a 460 and dual 4 bbl, also sounded low and mean, not obnoxious.

Might be worth a shot.

I have no interest in messing with the tone of the V6 as I know I will be disappointed vs. the C10. Plus I like hearing nature on trail rides with the top down vs. my exhaust note. Just personal preference and recommendation on other engines with these Outlaws.
