Features Disabled to Save Battery

POST: With regard to the AGM on my wife’s Lincoln 2019 Nautilus (Same battery as in the Bronco}. She was getting was getting battery management shutdown warnings when she tried to start her car via iPhone.

I charged the battery with an AGM capable charger, but at 80% the charge was extremely slow. After two charging tries, the vehicle would still not start via iPhone, though the key fob started it without issue. I assumed the battery had a “bad”cell. I replaced the battery and now no issues. She’s happy….yeaaa!

The AGM batteries on my sailboat are generally lasting 7 to 10 years. The AGM’s on various collector cars have also owned, had a long service life.

Lots of Bronco battery failures have been reported here…. Perhaps its just a crap cheap battery.

I get the same message when I open a door & it wakes up, even though mine stays on the battery tender.

Mine did that once. And ive always been cognizant of clamping the neg lead on the far side of the battery monitor.(there's a video on here about it)

Never did it again though. So im not sure why it did that when i know the battery was full up.

I've been fortunate to never have gotten stuck without power.

I don't fully understand some of the things the bronco does, so that's why i carry a jump pack too

Got this once a few days after I got mine. It had been sitting outside for a few days when we were in that cold snap in the NE right around Christmas.

Agreed about the Bronco electronics have a mind of their own. I originally had mounted this way & now have the negative mounted the the body ground I still get the message.

Needless to say, it's still earning my trust. It has never let me down yet, but I'm not 100% there yet.

I have the lights coming on issue, but who doesn't?

Likewise Those lights have a mind of their own. Never know what is going to happen when I open the door.

My bronco doesn’t do this but my F450 has done it since day 1 with 7 miles on it. Ford checked batteries and nothing.

Fords have a bad habit of this battery nonsense. '13 F150 Limited has given system off to save battery error since new.

My Bronco at 10k miles stopped letting me use zone lighting unless the engine is running. Turn it on and it switches right back off and says feature unavailable to save battery.

So now I can't use zone lighting while setting up camp, so that's fun

Fords have an absurd amount of electrical gremlins.
