A few honest things from the people actually making this thing:

• Yes - it’s a niche product. We understand that it doesn't fit every body type or seating position.
• Yes - not everyone will want it.
• And yes - some of you would rather spend that money on fuel, tacos, or therapy. All valid choices.

That said... we’ve sold a surprising number of these, and the feedback from people who do want one has been overwhelmingly positive. Which is why we keep making them and frequently going to a pre-order status. As a Bronco6G forum sponsor, we figured people here may be interested.

On pricing: unfortunately this isn’t a “throw it in a container and hope for the best” product. It’s made from US-sourced materials, sewn here by actual humans with actual hands and assembled by a very small crew who expect to be paid in something stronger than high-fives. No overseas shortcuts, no mystery foam, no “close enough” stitching.

We promise — We’re charging what it costs to build it properly, keep the lights on, and come back tomorrow to make more stuff we’d actually run in our own rigs.

• Is it for everyone? Absolutely not.
• Is it the best armrest of its type on the market? Objectively, yes.
• Do we make cheap stuff? Also no - that’s just not our jam.

You nailed it for me (as I'm looking for my medication - I'm starting to see aliens again...). I admit I'm a little surprised at the response given what other things folks spend their $ in the aftermarket. Fake hood scoops for example, or Sasquatch stickers, talk about nonsensical. At least this product has an actual function.

I'm too lazy to watch the video - how does it stay on, some kind of gentle clamping force? What's to keep it from flying out the window at highway speeds when I suddenly rotate my arm and knock it up-and-forward?

That is exactly how I drive all vehicles. My CX-5 has a dent where my elbow rests on the window ledge. Their cheap crap fake leather material wears super easy and it’s all shiny there.

In the bronco my damn elbow goes numb from the unplushy hard as H plastic door card. From day 1 I was trying stuff out, bit of yoga mat, hunk of my old 5mm chest waders, strip of EVA boat deck…all okay but the winner was half an aero pad from an old aero bar on my road bike. Stuck a bit of Velcro loop to the door and slap that pad on there. Love it. No way in heck I would pay real money for something like that but I get why people would want it.

My arm ends up in that spot for about 10 minutes at a time while commuting in the summer, If the Bronco had true half doors (You know, where you can glance out the window and see the front tire instead of the window sill and a huge honkin' mirror) I'd probably rest it there a lot more, but as others have noted, the sill is just to high for it to be comfortable for an extended period..

Was actually shopping around for one. I was seeing the competitions priced around $40-$70 why is this so much more that makes it worth the price difference and to have my business? I could buy a pair for less than one of yours, any forum discounts?

Lol is this satire? What is the purpose of this thing? I can't say I've ever thought I needed a pad under my arm if I put it up along the window opening, which is already an awkward place to have your arm for any long period of time.

Had a version of this for a CJ-7 in the past. That thing needed it because of the hard skinny door and the overall ergonomics. Bronco doesn’t need it though - I’ve wheeled for endless hours on forest roads in absolute comfort in my Bronco.
