Yeah, I get it. BUT...some things are surprisingly made in places other than China. Rigid Industries for instance, manufactures in Gilbert, AZ and Puebla, Mexico. https://www.rigidindustries.com/more-info/why-rigid.What’s not?

Cheaper? Yeah, the bulbs are somewhat rare though. But yeah, a lot less than an entire assembly.Say what you want about the halogen tails but they're allot easier/cheaper to replace a bulb vice a whole taillight assembly.
I have removed the rears, replaced the reverse bulb with an LED one to get more light. First one was a bit nerve racking but then the second was definitely easier!Cheaper? Yeah, the bulbs are somewhat rare though. But yeah, a lot less than an entire assembly.
Easier? No. You have to pull the entire assembly out anyway, then fiddle with getting the bulb replaced, then put it all back together. LED is just pull old assembly, reinstall new assembly.
And there's the fact that, at least in theory, the LED ones ~should~ last longer than halogen ones. Not sure how true that is, halogens don't exactly have a short life anyway.
(holy cow, I looked it up - the entire OEM Halogen assembly is $300, the OEM LED Assembly is .. $1,000 --- per side)
This is the second time on here I've seen someone say halogen bulbs are rare or hard to get.Cheaper? Yeah, the bulbs are somewhat rare though.
They must mean "out on the trails...."This is the second time on here I've seen someone say halogen bulbs are rare or hard to get.
I don't understand this at all. You can walk into any dealership or parts store and buy the correct bulb for $5-10. Ford alone has thousands of them in stock across the country.
I might trust Mabett more than Oracle at this point.Mabett has entered the building...

What is the issue exactly? Did your truck come with halogens or LED tail lights from the factory?Let me start by saying this is just a fair warning to anyone who is looking to upgrade your taillights.
I bought these direct from the manufacturer and at the time had only seen positive reviews about the company and their quality. My experience has proven to be less fortunate not once but now twice. The photos below are taken about four months apart and the issue is the same. The difference however is that the failed tail lamp on the drivers side from the first photo was exchanged for a brand new one seen in photo number two. The first lamp lasted 6 months or thereabouts from time of install as I left them in the box for about a year while I sourced the time for the install and more importantly the early Windows PC that could run the Forescan to even use the lamps. They were actually good about replacing this from the perspective of the normal warranty period as my procrastination with installation had passed the warranty period. I appreciated this very much actually.
But the process to deal with the requirements of that manufacturer and the hoops they force you to jump through was quite painful and not logical or convenient to the end user. To get the replacement lamp took about a month of back and forth plus they wanted me to remove the light for a build code before they would ship the replacement. Let's just say this is far from convenient and what I found when I finally did go to replace the lamp is that the plastic tab that pushes into the holder is very brittle and broke immediately upon removal. The second lamp lasted less than 4 months. I guess I'm going back to stock at this point.

I mean... are you though? Time is money right? Is it worth it to save a bit of $$ but have to constantly swap them out?Count me in as another Oracle user on a second set of tail lights. Still, the set is 1/3 the price of a single Ford tail light so I guess I'm still ahead of the game?

I don't get what's so difficult about making some reliable tail lights. Other than occasionally needing to replace a rather low cost halogen bulb, those type have worked well for me OEM and aftermarket.I might trust Mabett more than Oracle at this point.
Do you have to remove the tailgate to replace the passenger side taillight?I have removed the rears, replaced the reverse bulb with an LED one to get more light. First one was a bit nerve racking but then the second was definitely easier!
Missing a taillight in OK is a rite of passage, or so I've heard... lolCount me in as another Oracle user on a second set of tail lights. Still, the set is 1/3 the price of a single Ford tail light so I guess I'm still ahead of the game?
