Mods handled it. I don’t debate trolls. The mods do a good job on this forum....Are you going to let him talk to you like that?! I'd say something back! Make it snarky, too!
If there are 40 Raptors in Phoenix and 10 have been stolen, that is 25% of all Raptors and still not enough to make that list. Still would be considered as highly sought after for theft. As a matter of fact, the top stolen cars in the Phoenix area are as follows:
Don't see Bronco Raptor on that list.
- Chevy Silverado (627)
- Hyundai Elantra (418)
- Hyundai Sonata (323)
- Kia Soul (309)
- GMC Savana (226)
Top 5 Stolen Vehicles January 2026
- Chevy Silverado (45)
- Hyundai Elantra (30)
- Hyundai Sonata (24)
- Kia Soul (24)
- Honda Civ
Yeah, one of my beefs is with articles that list 'the most stolen vehicles' as if that meant those particular vehicles are at an especially high risk of being stolen. When I look at these kinds of lists I see really, really common vehicles so of course they're stolen more.If there are 40 Raptors in Phoenix and 10 have been stolen, that is 25% of all Raptors and still not enough to make that list. Still would be considered as highly sought after for theft.
I’ve seen some surprising cars in the airport parking at John Wayne AirportI never drive to the airport…nice cars don’t last long at Liberty (Newark) airport. Always a car service.
Good to hear they were unsuccessful.
Largely a myth. Do some research.Easiest protection is a business card or black carboard that you slip between windshield and VIN plate. I just put black duct tape over a business card. This method was reccommended by Police. No VIN means the thieves cant unlock in 60 sec with a laptop and get access to OBD port.
Doesn't matter to me I'm in secured, climate controlled, surveiled and man patrolled parking 99% of the time, but if I had to park in the wild with a highly desirable vehicle I'd definitely get a kill switch and probably a code entry as well.Largely a myth. Do some research.
Somewhat relevant for older vehicles. The vulnerability isn’t really the VIN — it’s weak identity verification in creating a duplicate fob. LE do sometimes suggest this as a way to add a small bit of friction in the process. But in the end, this is almost never used to steal a modern vehicle.
You can't have anything nice in Newark! It will get stolen or ruined.I never drive to the airport…nice cars don’t last long at Liberty (Newark) airport. Always a car service.
I left my rear passenger window all the way down on a 10 day trip and all my tools were still there when I returned. My wife was like, it's Orange County, no one wants your tools!'Almost stolen' is akin to the phrase "kinda pregnant"I agree! What is almost stolen? And then saying it might be gone tonight....aren't they using it to catch the crooks?
Currently working in a dicey part of Chicago. Drove my Bronco total of maybe 20 days. Got rear-ended once, fortunately no significant damage. And door dinged. No more driving to work in my Bronco.I never drive to the airport…nice cars don’t last long at Liberty (Newark) airport. Always a car service.

Exactly. Those nice cars probably think parking next to my Bronco at SNA is a door ding risk. I've seen Bentley's squeezed between two Escalades. I'm like, how does anyone get in/out?? Our spaces are too narrow for all the performance cars and trucks in there.I’ve seen some surprising cars in the airport parking at John Wayne Airport

Try that in downtown Santa Ana.You can't have anything nice in Newark! It will get stolen or ruined.
My Wildtrak attracts ZERO attention at SNA (Orange County). It is the sh!ttiest car in the garageI left my rear passenger window all the way down on a 10 day trip and all my tools were still there when I returned. My wife was like, it's Orange County, no one wants your tools!
Not questioning your count there, just amazed by it.... 40 in all of Phoenix?.... I am in Boise Idaho... We have more than that.... WOW! I guess we are 4x4 country and especially fond of Broncos... but still... WOW!If there are 40 Raptors in Phoenix and 10 have been stolen, that is 25% of all Raptors and still not enough to make that list. Still would be considered as highly sought after for theft.
