Any hoops required depend on state and insurance carrier. For my 07 F350 all I had to do after the repairs was get it inspected at a California State certified safety inspection station. After which Stare Farm insured it just like any other vehicle with no increase in my rates.

Also not all states brand a rebuilt totaled vehicle's title.

most insurance companies (at least the ones I worked for) will offer a lifetime warranty on the repairs if you went to their preferred body shop

Now this is helpful, something to check out only because of the number of mismatched panels I see out in the general population.
I wonder if they exempt the paint fade that causes this.

It's why good body shops will repaint the entire side or even entire vehicle and not just a single panel

Yep. I believe I stated that. It depends on the state and how risk averse the insuance company is.

They should cover it. It's part of the workmanship. Also, as most of us know, mismatched paint may not show up differently, or not at all depending on light.

When I had my Bronco PPF'd, it looked great when I picked it up, and then one day I noticed that the right side rear door looked different than the rest of the truck. It was very subtle and not always noticeable, but under different lighting it was.

Took it back to the shop and the redid that door and now everything matches. Apparently, they must've ended up using some film from a different stock. Now, my issue wasn't a paint issue, but the visual effects were the same.

Yes, either paint the entire side or do what they call "blending". I'm not a body guy so I may be incorrect in what I'm about to say, but I don't think "Blending" means painting all the adjacent body panels. I thought it was clear coating them, since often it's the clear that tends to dull and fade. Again, I could be wrong.

Prior to my Roush Mustang, I owned a white Mustang GT convertible. One of my son's had an accident that damaged the right rear quarter, rear bumper and deck lid. When repaired, in addition to replacing the damaged body panels, they ended up blending almost three quarters of the car (Before and after pictures attached). The car came out looking great.

My Cadillac CTS-V is painted in what is called Black Diamond Tri-coat. It has a heavy metal flake in the paint. On cloudy days in just looks black, but under light or in the sun you can really see it pop. Just a deep color that looks like you can reach into the paint.

I was told once by our head of claims that if I ever had a damaged panel, they would have to shoot the whole side of the car so that the consistency of the metal flake matched what you could visually see at any given angle.

This is a daily driver and not a dedicated trail rig so no time to spend rebuilding it. Plus I'm only 10 payments into the note so need entire loan paid off

After I got another close up look at my Bronco in the tow yard you can see the damage is worse than it looks in pictures. The front frame rails are both pushed hard over to the passenger side and every body panel and support on front is damaged.

I was implying for you to do a buy it back, was just stating I would look into it as a 2dr VB v6 is what Im after and at salvage cost I could do a lot of stuff with it.
I hope you get treated fairly by the insurance.

I'm a firm believer that people shouldn't be beholden to the livery. I'd buy the Stroppe and send it to be painted.

Despite my not being a fan of the decoration, the Stroppe does offer everything I would want in a Bronco and I have a lead on a very lightly used 2025 for $10K discount over new.

How far back to get into the frame?

Everything behind the grill (intercooler, ac condenser and radiator) is toast as well.

Frame horns the bumper brackets bolt to. They have a front repair section but the body shop will need to put it on a frame rack and take some measurements to make sure the frame isn't tweaked. Procedure manual says frame can't be straightened and requires replacement, some shops would just pull if just a little off to save it from a total loss or panel alignment.

The frame horns are bent pretty far. The mounting hole of the drivers side body mount/crash bar mount is pointing almost straight forward and the pass side is pointed into and touching the tire

How do the light blue pieces mount to the dark blue frame?

As I said they are pushed way over towards pass side
