I’m gonna say it’s got slight frame damage and if it doesn’t that thing won’t drive straight again.

I've been through this, and just with the info you've given and photos, looks like it will be repaired. Very doubtful that it will be totaled.

Diminished value has to do with your vehicle now being worth less than it was before it was damaged. Even if it repaired to like new, the record of having been in an accident will impact the value of the vehicle.

Mine was hit by someone similar to the OP but did more damage. Their insure ultimately paid me a sum of money to make up for the diminished value of my Bronco.
That’s good to know. I had no idea insurers can also pay for the diminished value

Repair costs are outrageous these days. My bronco got wrecked last June, took out the left front fender, bumper grill, headlight and all the shutters and cowl, air bags were ok. Parts and labor totaled up to $12K. Then it had to go to the ford dealer to remove the dash and all the wiring as the body shop needed to fix a problem with the fire wall and cowl. the ford dealer was labor only, $5k. Total cost $18k +.

depends on what the A pillar and apron look like behind the door hinges and fender. being a 24.... probably will fix
I tend to agree, and whom your insurance company is.

How did you go about getting the diminished value? A few years ago I consulted my attorney about it and was told it is very difficult and not worth the effort.

I brought it up to the opposing insurance company early on, but they deferred and said we don't want to discuss until we get your Bronco fixed. So several months pass, and I bring it up again. They give a response that is low (around $3k), I counter with $6 -7k, and they reject it and say they don't negotiate.

I had already contacted and talked with a 3rd party (totally online) that helps with DV claims. I talk with them and they give me the verbiage to respond with based on the state that I live in. My state allows for 3rd party arbitration and evaluation of the diminished value. Long story short, the 3rd party allowance from my state per my request forced the insurance company to spend money to do their own 3rd party evaluation, my 3rd party had already done one, and ultimately those two negotiated and settled on a number. The end number was around $9k. So my not negotiating with me the insurance company ended up spending more money.

The firm I worked with can be found by googling DVAC and diminished value. The cost was not much (a few hundred $$), and they helped me understand what I needed to do along the way.

Don't put your health at risk. I'm sure your back and neck have pain somewhere. Especially if the party at fault has good insurance. Consult a lawyer too.

UPDATE!
Just got off the phone with their insurance and it’s a total loss. Immediately called the shop and apparently there was a lot of damage once it was opened up totaling $34k. Picked up a ‘24 Wildtrak a month ago i’ve been loving!

I had a similar thing happen to me almost exactly a year ago, they went through a red light and caught me just a bit forward of your impact.
It wasn't close to a write off, actually very minimal damage, new door, fender, suspension/steering parts and a new wheel.
Good luck with yours...
