That escalated fast.
My apologies!

I will not stand for keyboard jockeys that are clueless and choose to lash out without knowing a thing about who they are attacking. I would have no problem dealing with him face to face if he thinks he is man enough.

I will be at Hammertown the entire time during KOH and I’m easy to find

Maybe just chill a bit, lots of stuff gets typed out, most of it meant not to attack, but be funny....

You guys will have a rough time here if saying that a comment was "Karen" is that much butthurt... Was it unnecessary almost definitely... was it an opinion surely... lets meet up so you can call me Karen and I can implied physical violence... wow.. So I'd suggest I work with a tiny old lady named Karen that is an old school biker chick that could whip all our asses...

On a side note, implying everyone at Hammertown knows you is kind'a a bold statement too.

somebody who wasn’t involved in this thread, had nothing to offer in his comment other than an insult? not even an opinion, just calling them a karen. FOH, dude.

I know there are a few threads on this. Heating elements seem nice but wouldn't blasting the light with washer fluid work too to remove buildup?

A washer kit (nozzles, tank, pump etc) is under $20 on amazon.

I just ordered one (theres a kemi moto one and a bunch of others for a couple bucks less). Will try to install and aim somehow and post pics.

Almost got myself and my son killed driving thru a storm to go skiing last year. I thought I was terrified on the interstate, but then when i got off in the mtns things got really fkn dicey. Lots of bourbon that night at the cabin.
That is my plan right now as well. I might even add a windshield washer heater to the circuit.

Plan B is a couple halogen fogs and a couple old school halogen daylighters.

There is no lighting that will assist in heavy snow best can do is narrow band aimed low but whats the point.....when I used to do winter night 500 mile mountain drives I left at 11 and drove in middle of road when very poor visibility because you can see traffic coming for miles with light refractions into sky. If there was traffic Id just use a semi as road clearing point.....I can stop faster than him stayed 3 car lengths behind....

My area is a bit different, need one that removes mud. I think Mercedes has that.

Filing a safety complaint for something like this to NHTSA is ridiculous. Just what we need is more government! There is nothing about Bronco headlights that make them worse or better than any other headlights. If anything the headlights on my Mazda which are horizontal pick up more snow and ice. I've lived in Minnesota most of my life. I've had my Bronco to numerous rocky mountain ski resorts. A couple years ago I80 through Wyoming was closed so I had to divert to I70 across Colorado. It snowed the entire time -- I never freaked out over the headlights. If conditions are this bad you are or should be going slow anyways -- if you have to pull over to clean the headlights no big deal. Honestly I never had to do it, snow and ice typically doesn't block the light.

My brain is running away with this... could you run heater hose around the circumference of the lights. Maybe a summer shut off valve to not circulate then? seems easy and cheap.. might need to wipe them when stopping so they don't freeze.
Good idea!
I had in mind some sort of warm air bleed off system similar to airplanes .... the heat exchanger could be metal tubes bolted close to exhaust manifold... ?

eh, our genius is wasted.

to all, Who is Karen?

Yeah, she's the one with the flash box. Met her when my wipers got serviced.

Seriously though, I don't know anybody who buys a Bronco for safety reasons. Jesus, the 70-0 stopping distance is a full 20 feet past the competition. Ain't no headlight gonna fix that.
