Well thats what I'm looking for. I'd considering buy it but I'm sure I'd get killed on these damn tariffs.

What color tips did you have on it and did you like it enough? Swapping exhausts are always a crapshoot.

The 2.3L Ecoboost engine doesn’t sound great but it’s also too quiet for me. I also enjoy the engine sound when rowing through gears. For 1-1/2 years I’m happy with Borla 140897 Touring catback with 60725, a short rear muffler that fits both 2.7L and 2.3L Borla catback systems. I wanted a deeper note slightly louder than stock and zero drone which is what I got. The larger than stock 2.75” tubing is perfect (not 3”) for slightly louder sound and less restriction. I’ve seen many highway trips of +22mpg on 87oct @70mph.

I've mentioned it before but I think an exhaust with a muffler and resonator is the best setup for the Bronco. That usually means you lose out on the dual tips if that is the look you really want. Several companies make the muffler/resonator setup which tends to be quieter than just a muffler and also gives you no drone. I have the MBRP 3" on my truck but I would think the other brands are similar.

So I’m looking for some advice/help on what to go with. I want to go with a Borla S type but I can’t decide on if I should go axel or cat back. What are the pros and cons? I also noticed that the cat back is considerably cheaper which I’m not sure why.

TIA everyone!
It really depends on your personal preference and what sound you like, and what you are shooting for on your Bronco. The Catback will be a little more extensive on the sound change that it gives, and the tone. I would say most people go with the Corsa turndown catback system, and it is one of my personal favorites in terms of what it gives for sound. I would recommend looking up some youtube sound clips of each system on the Broncos and see what you like the most.

Let us know if we can help in any way, and feel free to reach out to us with any questions!

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. So what would you say the main difference is between the turn down and the dual? I know the tailpipes are different but is the sound similar? Different? What do you think th advantages and disadvantages are? I do a decent amount of off-roading so which is better for that do you think as well? Thanks so much.

If you do a decent amount of off-roading, i'd recommend the turn down vs. dual tip. i purchased my CORSA exhaust from @LethalPerformance and they basically recommended the same thing when i made my purchase 2+ years ago. The dual tips will get smashed if you're rock crawling, jump your bronco or even scrape during steep climbs. Not sure about the sound difference but the turn down is pretty throaty when you get on the throttle. You wouldn't know it was there at cruising speeds or normal driving and there's no drone at all. At idle, you can hear the exhaust from outside the cabin but it isn't loud or obnoxious. In my experience, the stock exhaust is so inaudible that it makes you question if you even turned your bronco on.

I put on the Flowmaster (Outlaw) dual tip and it is kinda loud I am adding sound deadening material behind the rear door on the bottom of the rear body above the muffler I will let folks know how that works as soon as I get the stuff and put it in place. Hoping to cut the drone coming from the rear of the vehicle on hard acceleration, it's a bit much sometimes. I kept the stock exhaust in case I have to go back.

Wow sensitive thread. Yes exhaust sound is subjective for sure. I personally like throaty exhaust sound- not loud or raspy. It is very subjective though for "loud" and "throaty" and even "raspy". Given all that I love my MBRP CAT back dual exit on my 2.7 V6 2 door. The stock exhaust was way too quiet for me. I don't do a lot of heavy 4 wheeling and the dual exit is fine for me. With the MBRP it just a little louder and much more throaty than stock. No drone at all. My driving style is conservative- the engine is between 1500 and 2500 RPM most of the time and I just hear the exhaust barely- a nice deep throaty sound, just a little louder than stock. The exhaust gives nice immediate throttle response off the line. I step on the gas less for sure and my average MPG went up from 22.7 to 23. Well worth it and I love it, would never go back to stock, even though I saved it.

A bit of a divisive topic for sure. I am with the crowd that generally feels that aftermarket exhausts only truly sound good on V8's. I'm more of a car guy and have never been overly happy with the aftermarket exhausts I've fitted to my 4 cylinder turbo engines over the decades and even inline 6 engines. The only exhaust that didn't disappoint or drone was Akrapovic but that was insanely expensive. In particular I have got really tired of being burned by the "no drone" broken promises. I admit to getting the mod itch but I've been burned too many times to consider putting a noisemaker on my Bronco. That's just me though as different strokes for different folks.

I had the S Type axle back on my Wildtrak 4 door and really liked it, traded for a Raptor, and I think I'd rather have the Borla than the selectable exhaust on the Raptor. S Type was very tame at idle and normal throttle (little louder on cold start, but sounded good for a V6), but when you put your foot in it it really sounded good and got loud, better than the Raptor on Baja and almost the same going down the road as the Raptor on normal.

I went with the Borla since I wanted dual outputs and most didn't have the turn down so you could see the pipes from the side and I didn't like that and I'd buy the Borla again.

I went with the Borla Touring for my '23 V6 2 dr.
I'd been watching the price on Amazon and it dipped to $580 so I bought it. It's normally $850+.
I went with the Touring since I didn't want a loud system. It features 2.75" tubing with a straight through muffler and a resonator behind the axle. The S-Type only has a muffler, no resonator. The Borla website shows a different pn for the Touring muffler vs the S-Type, I don't know if there is a difference other than the logo embossed on the muffler.... maybe they're the same otherwise? A call to Borla should answer that.
Anyway, I thought it was a little too quiet with the resonator, so I took it off and welded up a dual outlet tailpipe for it.

Overall, it's quiet at cruise, and a little louder with light throttle, and more at full throttle. It's a weird sound, more like a motorboat.
I never wanted an obnoxious exhaust, I just want to hear the engine.

I do prefer the cat back since it opens up the area under the trunk floor. A cat-back can also open up other options in case one wants to delete/add a resonator, or even change the muffler itself for a different sound.

So I put this stuff on today on the underside of the rear cabin/box above the muffler over the stock sliver heat shield panel - and then behind and above the rear end differential above the driveshaft stuck it to the underside of the naked floor pan (not sure why Ford doesn't OEM sound proof any and all of that area) so took it for a ride and it made a difference enough for me to be able to deal with so I won't be going back to stock...👍 Was fairly easy to install and sticks very well - FYI work with smaller sections cause the stuff sticks well making it difficult to maneuver larger pieces with the backing paper removed.
