Hello,

I’m fairly new to the Bronco community and trying to do as much research as I can before my 25 OBX gets delivered. One of the biggest things I’ve been looking into is a tuner for after I break-in the engine. I’ve seen multiple videos on a ton of different tuners, but still seems as thought its such a small sample size. I plan on running 91 premium (93/E30+ is hard to find near me) and would like one that gives good performance boost whilst still maintaining factory warranty (as best as possible). Hoping you guys can point me in the right direction!

Ford Performance Tune.
Did you run any test before and after installing it? And can you feel a big enough difference justified by the price tag on it?
Would you say it’s worth it?

I was originally looking at this but for the advertised HP gains for the price + required install for warranty benefits shyed me away. I was thinking about stacking and hoping someone in here has something to say about that.

This is the only tune that is backed by a Ford warranty. If that is important to you, then it is your only option.

If you are willing to take the chance with the warranty, @ZFGracing is the best ecoboost tuner there is. Adam can create a truly custom tune that will make your Bronco a blast to drive.

Haven’t heard of this one. Is it a flash or piggyback tune? I know the Panda and JB4 are ones that say they don’t mess with the warranty as they claim it doesn’t flash the ECU with it and can take it out before any warranty services. I was also curious, how do custom tunes work? Is it based off what after market parts I end up getting?

I don’t think the FP tune is worth it for power gains, but improved auto shifting is nice…I would not have bought it except mistakenly thought it would program the Hoss 3 rack…for performance I would look at Whipple but I not done any/much research on any of them as power improvements are a low priority to me…I think $5k would be needed to get ya some meaningful gains and I would spend that on coilovers first…

I really liked the Whipple tune on my first rappy pickup. Great power and shifting. So far my favorite tuner has been Goosetuned. Running his E85 tune with bigger injectors and colder spark plugs right now and that little 3.5L ecoboost can jusssst stay ahead of a Raptor R on Toyo 37" RT's. Winfield is still waiting on Cobb to get the Bronco ECU unlocked and he'll have something for the Bronco. I'm not really interested in more power for the bronco, but linear delivery and the primary concern is deleting brake over throttle.

The Pulsar XT doesn't have a lot of coverage on here, but it's a piggyback tune (hence leaves no trace as far as Ford is concerned) and it's a very noticeable improvement over stock even with no supporting mods. I really like mine. It's made a huge difference turning 37s. I'll probably go one step colder on plugs to be safe.

ETA: claimed 55 HP / 66 lb-ft and it's tuned for 91 octane, which is a huge plus for me here in NM.
