I’m sure this has been addressed elsewhere, but I’m not finding it. I’m looking for some recommendations on the best jack to keep with me in the car all the time. I have a 2” lift and 40s so I need a jack that can deal with all that. After all, no sense in having this big ass spare if I couldn’t replace it if I had to.

Since I would like to keep it with me, I’m hoping for something as small as possible but still very capable.

Would love some recommendations folks

The easiest method for a “keep with me all the time” is a nice block of wood to place the factory jack on.
I’ve got a hilift, large bottle and floor jacks but they are to big and heavy to haul daily. The average bottle jack won’t go high enough without a block of wood so I just recommend the block of wood for daily carry. You can bring a big ass heavy jack on off-road trips.

This.

Or if you are one of those that has recovery boards mounted - this is a good use for them. Assuming you got good ones and they don't cave in.

By block of wood, im assuming a 6x6 or something custom with OSHA planks. I wouldn't personally use a 4x4 for a truck.

I use the safe jack sergeant kit with extensions. works well. You can fit it all into the storage bin just barely. The base of the jack itself is a few mm too tall so I just forced a slight indentation into the soft underside of the cargo lid.

I keep a Vevor Air Jack in my rig. Since I have onboard air, it’s fast and safe. (Knocking on wood) I have never needed a jack while out on the trails.

I like this. It’s better priced than the safe jack too. The question is, will it fit in the jack storage area?
I can’t fit my shorty bottle jack there; but it fits in the larger cubby further in. This all might also for there, I’ll bet die to its odd sizes and the cubby angles, you’d use a bit of both spaces. I may have to buy it and check it out, because this is the first reasonably priced version of this cool setup I’ve seen. The components may even fit my shorty which would be a win.
