So lots of threads out there on the C Brace being fantastic, but for the cost of the B&C kit, you could have the FP C brace and TOR, Goat Fab or other that have more functionality..MOLLE or lights etc.
Any thoughts?

Do you all think they are effectively the same? I'm leaning towards TOR over FP.

Ford B brace weighs about 3 lb.....some kind of exotic AHSS or hotech alloy. Fits like glove. The aftermarket stuff looks primitive in comparison and likely is on terms of materials and torsional performance. Worth every penny.

C brace might weigh 8 lb.

I have the goat fab brace. It’s heavy duty for sure.

I went with the TOR B brace and FP C Brace. The TOR Brace is Heavy Duty and like you said give me molle storage. Single piece, welds look good, powder coat is well done. Looks better than the photos on the site. And a great price point.

I installed it prior to the FP C Brace and it definitely made a difference. With both of them my cabin is much more quiet.

Unless you are purposely trying to break your rig, all 3 are effectively the same. I have the FP Brace in my Braptor to compare.

Part of the reason I chose the DV8 overhead Molle is because it is (in my opinion) a legitimate B brace. Some have had trouble with fitment, mine installed in about 30 minutes. Don't tighten anything until all bolts are in place. The back seat grab bar is a nice bonus.

The one reason I went with the Ford B-Brace was that it sits behind/aft of your head. I couldnt quite tell were the Goat and DV8 sit, if its more above your head. I'm 6-2 so I didnt want anything hitting my noggin...

Definately dont want any sharp corners in that position on the brace, in case of crash or roll over.

I have a GOAT Brace that I never got to install in my 4dr, it’s def heavy duty and feels well made. It was the first to the market and feels a bit more primitive but I also trust it to not buckle or bend. If anyone is local to Cleveland you’re welcome to bring me a 6pack and it’s yours.

The DV8 one does not seem like it adds structural rigidity, based on its mounting. I don’t recall it advertising it as such either, like the others do. It looks more as a storage and mount solution, which it seems to do great as.

I will be up in Solon this weekend, what is your brew of choice?

There are no equivelant alteratives. FP is a hoghly engineered solution, likely crash tested, NHTSA & DOT compliant, constructed from advanced ultra high strength alloy, likely cast or printed, in a safety conscious enclosure along with HD pressed mounting brackets and high grade bolts.

The TOR Brace seems to maybe be an inch closer to the Driver. Still have no issue with the seat all the way back. I'll grab a pic to post to help the OP.
