  1. 4 years in, finally see a crack in hardtop!

You made me go look. Not quite 38 months, garaged, 14,000 miles. Guess what. Cracks that were not there 2 months ago when it was still under warranty. Anybody know if the the Ford Protect extended warranty will cover this?
  2. Bronco Plug and play 1150W RMS amp replacement kit for B&O back in stock!

If a person already has the K2, and wanted to upgrade to the zenpower unit, I'm assuming the power and ground cables could be reused. Would the speaker harness have to be replaced? WIll the new amp mount where the K2 does? Can the cables to the DSP be reused, or will a new harness have to go to...
  3. No problems with my backup camera. Then they did the recall replacement...

I somewhat reluctantly allowed my dealer to to the recall replacement on my rear camera. They called me and offered to do it my my driveway, why not? Even though I've read that the outcome could be problematic, and I've never had a issue, I agreed to it. Today, I drove it for the second time...
  4. Need a battery recommendation.

I'll be replacing my battery soon and I've been considering this. Not sure I want to spend that much money on a battery. I have some low power radios that I like to leave running, and this would probably work well with that.
  5. Bronco6G Daily Thank-You Deal #3 | Rear Window MOLLE Storage System — $209 Down to $104.50

The brackets that mount behind the small plastic trim panels will have to be changed. They use mounting holes in the roll bar at the top. I have had mine in and out so many times I am using wing nuts.
  6. Bronco6G Daily Thank-You Deal #3 | Rear Window MOLLE Storage System — $209 Down to $104.50

This is a great deal. Mine installed easily and does not squeak or rattle even after a subwoofer upgrade. I've had them in and out several times doing things that required removing the trim panels. I put these in when my Bronco was new, and my plastic does not have any scratches. My only regret...
  7. Your Ideal Camera Placements? Share Your Thoughts

I like the main camera in the rear view mirror. That's the one for collecting evidence. I originally had the rear camera on the roll bar, which was great till I put my top on. Then I could not see more than two car lengths behind me. So I moved it to inside the spare tire. it works well there...
  8. Ford offering Navigation after trial - is it worth it?

The only thing I ever used was the weather radar. I do miss that. But I'm not paying for another subscription. Grateful there's not a subscription for cruise control. (Yet)
  9. Easy way to add rocker switches to supplement upfitter switches

I discovered that a standard rocker switch will snap right into a molle panel. Now I have switches that are powered when the key is off without having to rewire the upfitters.
  10. Armorlite Floor Drain Plug Issue

One of mine would not stay closed, I figured out I had it inserted too far into the hole.
  11. [New Product Launch] Broaddict Overhead MOLLE Panel System—Your Bronco’s Most Useful Space May Be Over Your Head

Adding the USB ports is genius and something no other product has. How do they connect to power?
  12. Another Sta-Bar Disconnect Saga

There is a opportunity to produce a aftermarket product for all the units that don't have the disconnect. If I remember correctly, there are several options for the Jeep line. I have been waiting for this as an alternative to buying the OEM version and retrofitting it on my WIldtrak. This could...

  14. Installing the Perimeter Alarm Plus — DIY How-To Writeup

Other than lock/unlock, just disabling the shock sensor. You are correct that it should be armed when you lock the car. I like having the visual confirmation, it was cheap and an easy install.
  15. Installing the Perimeter Alarm Plus — DIY How-To Writeup

I just finished installing this. My experience: No one is joking about how hard it is to unplug the wiring harness. You can feel it, but not see it. After much struggle, I used a offset flathead screwdriver and got it to release. It was the highlight of my whole week when I felt it click. If I...
  16. Removing Lux Carpet/Replacing with Armorlite?

Not true. The only thing that didn't fit was the trim caps for the rear seat posts. Otherwise, it all works. It was a tight fit, and getting the trim panels back in was a bitch, but nothing had to be altered. Also, in the installation video from sound skins, you can see a Armorlite box in the...
  17. Removing Lux Carpet/Replacing with Armorlite?

I used a precut kit and it fit nicely around the drains. The deadening material is waterproof and water won't be able to get underneath it if it's installed well, so it shouldn't block enough drainage to make any difference.
  18. Removing Lux Carpet/Replacing with Armorlite?

Consider sound deadening along with Armorlite. It’s not a waterproof liner, you can’t use high volume water flow or it wil get underneath. (The OEM washout floor is no different.) There are videos on YouTube that show how to do the install. It took me two days including installing Sound Skins...
