I would just add, tons of people have installed these, none have come back here and posted that the panels are ruined and will not go back in properly.

That’s why I don’t want to mess with itI did the ASS eliminator and the Kicker 200.4 with Plugnplaykits harness at the same time. That panel was kind of a bastard to remove, and the radio plugs were difficult to get back in the space with the adapters. The panel went back on just like before.
I fully accept I should have watched first. I swore I’d seen a YouTube video of people reaching under the dash to do it.It’s surprising that you bought it without seeing the installation process, then you’re upset that the install requires more than you expected (What did you base expections on?).
Anyway, as others have said - anyone can do this. I did it in about 10 minutes with most of that time spent pulling off the center panel. It’s very stubborn.
But really - Who buys things without checking to see if they’re willing to tackle the install?
That’s the one I bought. US Made Autostop eliminator above.Install isn't bad. Maybe 45-mins max being very careful.
Installed two of em w no problems - no broken clips or anything
Helps to get Plastic Pry Tool Kit on Amazon for less than $10 - no scratch removal of auto trim panels - and the painter's tape
Here's another Pry Tool Kit - only $6
Grab handle is easiest to remove. Really nothin
For 23's and 24's there aren't many good choices - Forscan doesn't work - SuperChips FlashCal doesn't work - and the Chinese OBD2 plug is flaky
The US made Autostop Eliminator is rock solid w all model year Broncos so far. And none of the other options can say this
That’s a bummer, thanks.According to @Superchips_Mktg the FlashCal 1546 still doesn't work to disable Auto Stop in 23's and 24's
See Feb 8 post - and Nov 21 post
LOL, exactly this!i’m pretty mechanically inclined and usually do all the own work on my own car. However, every single time I’ve worked with a car where I’ve tried to remove panels or clips, the clips break and even if they don’t, the panel never goes in as snug as it did before and I really don’t wanna take any chances on a $50,000 car.
I think you probably saw the one from Ebay that just plugs in under the dash. That’s why I don’t want to mess with it
I fully accept I should have watched first. I swore I’d seen a YouTube video of people reaching under the dash to do it.
sorry my mistake bothers you more than it bothers me.
Yep it bites, I made a bunch of successful changes to my '23 Bronco using Forscan, but the ASS deactivation would not take.I gotcha. That’s some bs. Hopefully somebody finds a work around.
its actually i large undertaking for such a small problem ...good luckWhat the heck! I bought the hundred dollar auto start stop disabled eliminator from the USA company assuming that it was just as easy to install as reaching underneath of the dash and installing the new pigtail. However, on their website they’re actually removing panels pulling off the center AC console what a pain I’m not even gonna try and do that, is that really required to install this thing?
I thought this was a simple, plug and play with no panel removal…..
if this does require panels to be removed, you can count me out and if anyone wants to buy a brand new one that hasn’t even been opened. I’m happy to sell you mine
Quick Update: The install of the AutoStop into the '24 went without issue. It is not all that bad once you get over the "I am going to break these clips" feeling. The '24 really seems to have some super strong clips but nothing broke and the switch retains it setting - first world problems.....lol.I installed and removed my AutoStop Eliminator on my '21 Wildtrack without issue. Will be installing into the new '24 Badlands next week. The online video instructions are excellent and the clips seemed to be just fine. Take your time. Watch a step on the video and then perform the step. Going step by step makes it easy and comfortable.
please let us know over the next few weeks if you notice any window abnormalities. I suspect the reason the more expensive eliminator is behind the from panel is because it isolates the ASS switch vs the footwell one probably having multiple wires flowing through it.I just installed this one and it takes no panel removal as it installs in the drivers side foot well on the LHS of the vehicle. Works great, no window switch interference others reported and only $45.
