  1. Anything scarier than running out of warranty... which extended warranty to get (if any)?

Yes, an Audi or BMW running out of warranty. Fords are relatively simple and the parts and dealership costs are comparatively low. Extended warranties make money for the warranty companies - like most "insurance policies", they'll reassuring when you need them, but trust the actuaries have...
  2. Manny tranny owners, would you do it again?

  3. Manny tranny owners, would you do it again?

Sure. Getrags make noise when cold - Euro car owners are accustomed to that. Just change out the fluid for a thicker viscosity when it's out of warranty.
  4. Auto Start / Stop - how to permanently disable?

Yeah, my only issue was installation was frustrating because my hands are large, but once it's in, all is forgiven!
  5. Auto Start / Stop - how to permanently disable?

Yeah, zero issues for months now, and works flawlessly every time I drive. Plus, unlike the more expensive autostart eliminator, you don't have to remove any interior panels, just reach up under the area above the dead pedal.
  6. Auto Start / Stop - how to permanently disable?

This is installed on my '23, works flawlessly, only $40. It says "no Badlands" for some reason, but I'd had no issues on my BL. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BP9VGF4Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. Oil Change with Most Predictable Results

This has been my tried and true method with a ‘23 2.3l, but it’s likely applicable to all years and the 2.7 as well: 1. Decide you want an oil change 2. Book an appointment with your dealer 3. Bring in Bronco, wait around an hour 4. Drive away 5. Post here you had an oil change from the...
  8. In LOVE with the Bronco! Want to leave car...

Do it, you'll figure out the money elsewhere in your life. It's not a significant differential we're talking about here. You're 40, you've been depriving yourself, live a little. Cheaper by far than hookers and a drug habit.
  9. Why this guy bought a Rubicon over a Bronco

I bought a Rubicon while I was waiting for my Badlands to be built. Sold it back to the same dealer after 4 months and 5,000 miles for a $2k profit, back in the crazy car prices days. Both the Rubicon and the Badlands are phenomenal vehicles, each with their little quirks. The average consumer...
  10. Possibly for sale?

    Totally unhelpful, sanctimonious, and unwelcome.
  11. Can anyone beat this? Works Maintenance Package service for $39.95

No, I paid last Monday morning when I went in for my 10k oil change/tire rotation. My receipt is shared earlier in the thread.
  12. Auto Start/Stop Disable Install - What The??

I also bought the $45 Amazon solution, the one that requires no panels to be pulled. Installed it today. I won’t lie, the installation was a female dog…lots of sweating and cursing to get the unit plugged into the slot that is hidden away on the far left of the driver footwell. You’re working...
  13. Can anyone beat this? Works Maintenance Package service for $39.95

They didn't try to sell anything. I drank their coffee and scrolled my phone. Then paid and left.
  14. Can anyone beat this? Works Maintenance Package service for $39.95

$25 is great! Okay, you're the only one who actually saw my title (Can anyone beat this?) and you beat it! Winner, winner, chicken dinner, plus extra credit for reading comprehension! My place also offers pickup/delivery within a 15 minute radius, but I didn't want their valet dealing with a...
  15. Can anyone beat this? Works Maintenance Package service for $39.95

Yeah, the service advisor couldn't believe it either, but said, "Well, I guess if we emailed it, we have to honor it." I've got the 2.3, which takes 6.2 qts. I'm just happy to get the tire rotation without jacking up the rig!
